There are now 429 buses driving 18 routes citywide that accept mobile payment.Residents can download the Nanyang Mashangxing or UnionPay Cloud Quick Pass app and link a bankcard to their account. QR codes generated by e-walletsof mobile apps can be scanned for payment. Upgraded ticket machines will process the fareson recognition of thecodes and then deduct the funds automatically.Or more simply, passengers can tap their UnionPay QuickPass debit or credit cards near the reading areas of compatible point-of-sale (POS) terminals to process payment.Compared with traditional cash payment, which can lead to inconveniences such as lacking the proper changeor having to wait in long queues, mobile payment ismore efficient.
