The 14th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair in Shenzhen began on May 10, with the goal of strengthening cultural cooperation between Belt and Road countries.

A Sanmenxia delegation led by Niu Lanying, director of Sanmenxia's publicity department, and Deputy Mayor Qing Zhiying attended the five-day event.

Participants were drawn toward replicas of 5,000-year-old Yangshao painted pottery products as well as other traditional handicrafts and artwork.

The Sanmenxia officials met with exhibitors and encouraged enterprise representatives to develop their brands through innovation.

During an interview with the Henan Broadcasting System, Qing touted the fair's high profile and large scale, noting the abundance of cultural products which have expanded horizons and offered inspiration.

Sanmenxia has a long history and rich culture, giving it strong potential in cultural industrial development. The city will increase efforts to attract investment and encourage cultural companies to step up industrial planning, technical innovation and product development, Qing pointed out.

The city will also ramp up efforts to satisfy people's diverse cultural demands by providing varied and practical cultural products.

During the fair, the Sanmenxia delegation visited a number of Shenzhen enterprises in order to get a better understanding of the local area's culture industry and seek cooperation between the two cities.

Spanning 105,000 square meters, the fair received 2,308 exhibitors from 42 countries and regions across the world, with each exhibit showcasing their own unique cultural resources and developments.

As the only national cultural industries fair in China, the event has served as both an expo to showcase the latest cultural products in China and a trade platform for China's cultural industry products and projects since 2004. It will not only promote the development of China's cultural industry, but also advance the globalization of Chinese cultural products.
