Yang Shuguang, magistrate of Neixiang county, Nanyang, sought international financial cooperation on poverty alleviation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) during his visit to the World Bank China Office on July 13.

The World Bank Group is an international financial institution that provides loans to countries for capital projects and the IFC is the group's private sector lending arm.

Yang briefed representatives on the poverty alleviation and financial development situation in Neixiang, specifically the "5+" model for relieving poverty. This unique model ensures that poor people can obtain a steady income by connecting them with governments, banks, enterprises, and cooperatives. This method has been promoted in 27 impoverished counties in eight different provinces and has helped more than 300,000 people.

The representatives spoke highly of Neixiang's achievements in poverty alleviation through financial cooperation. The two parties also carried out extensive exchanges and discussion on the regional poverty alleviation cooperation proposal put forward by Yang, and formulated a basic outline for further cooperation.
