Sanmenxia Signs 24 Projects Worth $1.75 Billion in Zhengzhou

The 2018 China (Zhengzhou) Industrial Transfer Matchmaking Activities - running from Oct 31 to Nov 2 in Zhengzhou, Henan province - focused on intelligent manufacturing and transitional development, according to organizers.

Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Henan Provincial People's Government, the three-day event provided a perfect platform for insiders to exchange academic ideas, showcase their latest efforts and discuss innovative strategies.

The city of Sanmenxia signed 24 projects with a total investment of 12.1 billion yuan ($1.75 billion) during the course of the activities, including 10.1 billion yuan from other provinces. The 24 projects represent a wide variety of fields including metallurgy, new materials, equipment manufacturing, biological medicine, chemical engineering, energy sources, construction materials and aluminium-based materials.

Over the past few years, Sanmenxia has pushed forward the transformation and upgrade of traditional industries as well as provided support to innovative development in emerging industries.
