As a major province of cultural relics in China, how to make the cultural relics in the museum “come alive” in Henan province?

 

十三届全国人大二次会议前夕，河南博物院、河南日报报业集团、河南省人大融媒体中心，联合推出百集文物纪录片《中原藏珍》，让你坐在家里、在手机上就能零距离与文物“对话”。这些精彩视频将在河南博物院的官网微博、头条号及大河网上进行播出。今年全国两会期间，该纪录片的宣传片还将在河南代表团驻地播放，让更多人感受河南多彩文化魅力。

Prior to the Second Session of the 13th National People’s Congress, the 100-episode documentary “Central Plain Treasures”, jointly launched by Henan Museum, Henan Daily Press Group and Convergence Media Center of Henan Provincial People’s Congress, allows the audiences to “talk face-to-face” with the cultural relics directly at home or by phone. These wonderful videos will be broadcasting on the official microblog of Henan Museum, toutiao.com and dahe.cn. During the two sessions of this year, the promotional video of the documentary will also be showed at the headquarters of the Henan delegation in Beijing for more people to experience the charm of Henan’s rich culture.

2019年春节小长假，河南博物院“大象中原——河南古代文明瑰宝展”“金猪拱福——己亥新春生肖文物图片联展”“和韵华夏——中原音乐文物瑰宝展”三大展览持续引关注。

During the Spring Festival of 2019, the three exhibitions of Henan Museum including the “Broad Minded Central Plains -- An Exhibition on Ancient Treasures from Henan Province”, “Golden Pig Brings Happiness -- A Joint Exhibition of Pictures of Zodiac Relics 2019” and “Harmony Huaxia -- Ancient Music Treasures from Central China” kept attracting public attentions.

 

大河网记者从河南博物院了解到，据初步统计，春节7天，在主展馆改造关闭的情况下，游客热度不减，共接待游客超6万人次，单日最高接待量1.25万人次。

The reporter of dahe.cn learned from the Henan Museum that, according to preliminary statistics, despite the main exhibition hall was closed for renovation, the popularity of tourists remained unwaveringly, with a total number of over 60,000 visitors and a daily maximum of 12,500, during the 7 days of the Spring Festival.

河南地下文物全国第一，但展出的仅为繁星一点

Henan has the largest number of underground cultural relics in China only with a few displaying

 

河南，华夏文明开源与繁盛之地，地下文物全国第一，地上文物全国第二！但能够展出的仅为繁星一点，还有更多珍宝藏在“深闺”！

As a birthplace of where the Chinese civilization originated and flourished, Henan ranks the first in underground cultural relics and the second in aboveground cultural relics in China, but only a few are available for display. More treasures are in “hibernation”!

 

以河南博物院为例，该院馆藏文物17万余件（套），其中主展馆维修期间常设的展览“大象中原——河南古代文明瑰宝展”，展览的文物珍品也只有200件（套），更多的还藏在“深闺”人不知。

Taking Henan Museum as an example, there are more than 170 thousand pieces (sets) of cultural relics collected in the museum. During the maintenance of the main exhibition hall, the permanent exhibition of the “Broad Minded Central Plains -- An Exhibition on Ancient Treasures from Henan Province” only displays 200 pieces (sets) of cultural relics.
