The 2019 Intercontinental World Rose Exhibition and the Ninth Chinese Rose Exhibition will be opened in Nanyang, each with its own special themes.
The opening ceremony of the intercontinental exhibition will be launched on April 28 in the Nanyang World Rose Garden, which will serve as the main venue of the event.
Guests from 19 countries and other domestic cities will take part in the ceremony and show their exhibits.
A special group of commemorative stamps themed with 2019 Intercontinental World Rose Exhibition, including the seventh set of stamps themed with “Nanyang Rose, Queen of Flowers”, will be introduced at the opening ceremony.
The awards will be handed out in the studio of the Municipal Radio and Television Station in the evening, where the banner handover ceremony will be held as well. Nanyang, also known as the Rose Flower City, will attract visitors from all over the world with its charms.
Academic professional forums and special thematic activities will also be held during the exhibition. The International Rose Academic Forum will be held from April 28 to April 30. Rose experts from all over the world will attend the forums.
In the park of the Nanyang World Rose Garden, special themes such as a rose flower art exhibition, a "Wolong pot" art exhibition, a pyrography exhibition, a rose stamp collection exhibition, and a Chinese and foreign rose cultural exhibition constitute the highlights of the exhibitions.
