Overseas representatives attending an ongoing conference in Zhengzhou, Henan province, spoke highly of China's rural revitalization policies and strategies, which were initiated by President Xi Jinping.

Simplice Sarandji, former Central African Republic prime minister, said rural revitalization is a Chinese solution the Communist Party of China provided to a worldwide problem of imbalanced development between urban and rural areas, and reflected President Xi's farsightedness.

"How to make rural areas revitalized is a problem facing many countries around the world, and developing countries should learn from China about how this problem has been handled," he told reporters when attending a conference on Xi's thoughts on rural revitalization, which ran from Thursday to Saturday.

"We congratulate the Chinese government on the success of the strategies and meanwhile we appreciate President Xi's great decision on implementing these strategies," he said.

Ricardo Rosas Romera, secretary of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, said the CPC has made great efforts in poverty reduction over the past decade and has lifted large populations out of poverty.

"We believe that the CPC and the Chinese government will pay greater attention to the development of rural areas in the future to achieve a balanced development," he said. "And we believe such efforts will turn out to be successful."

The conference, hosted by the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and the CPC Henan provincial committee, aimed to provide an opportunity for parties and their members from other nations to get to know the CPC and its policies and strategies.

The three-day conference will feature an exhibition in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, a meeting in Lancao, a county about 110 kilometers east of Zhengzhou, and a tour to three other cities in the province.
