The Greatest Treasures of the Four Ancient Capitals in Henan Unveiled

河南四大古都“镇都之宝”揭晓

Under the guidance of Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage and Henan Daily Newspaper Group, co-organized by Henan Association of Museums, Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, and Dahe Daily, the large series of cultural fairs -- “Greatest Treasures of Ancient Capitals Glorify the Chinese Nation” held a news briefing on November 17. At the meeting, the list of the nine greatest treasures of each ancient capital, including Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang and Anyang, was officially released.

11月17日，由河南省文物局、河南日报报业集团指导，河南省博物馆学会、河南省文物考古学会、大河报社联合主办的“古都重宝耀中华”大型系列文博活动在郑州举行评选揭晓发布会，郑州、开封、洛阳、安阳四大古都各自的九大“镇都之宝”名单正式出炉。

Since the first launch of the activity in March this year, 36 treasures have been selected after expert recommendation, mass voting and final evaluation.

此次评选活动自今年3月份启动以来，经过专家推荐、群众投票、专家终评等环节，最后评出36件古都重宝。

Zhengzhou: Duling No. 1 Square Quadripod, Painted Pottery Twin Pot of Dahe Village, Square Pot with Lotus and Crane, Nine Tripods and Eight Guis (a round-mouthed food vessel with two or four loop handles), Inscribed Gold Slip of Wu Zetian, Terracotta Tripod with Nipple-shaped Protrudings, Celadon Glaze Porcelain Wine Vessel, Stone Statue of Avalokitesvara with Eleven Faces, and Bronze Building Component with Animal Face Patterns.

它们分别是：郑州市杜岭一号方鼎、大河村彩陶双联壶、莲鹤方壶、九鼎八簋、武则天金简、乳钉纹红陶鼎、青釉瓷尊、十一面观音石像、兽面纹青铜建筑构件。

Kaifeng: Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, Stele of “Kaifeng Prefecture Inscriptions”, “Auspicious Cranes” by Zhao Ji, “Thousands of Miles of Rivers and Mountains” by Wang Ximeng, Rubbing of Wang Xizhi’s “Shiqi Tie” in the Song Dynasty, Stele of “Nüzhen Jinshi Inscriptions”, Dasheng Chime, Bronze Tripod  Inscribed with “Daliang”, and Bronze Bell with Honor Guards.

开封市《清明上河图》、“开封府题名记”石碑、赵佶《瑞鹤图》、王希孟《千里江山图》、宋拓《十七帖》、“女真进士题名”碑、大晟编钟、大梁司寇鼎、卤簿铜钟。

Luoyang: Bronze Wine-drinking Vessel with Nipple-shaped Protrudings, Dragon-shaped Decoration Inlaid with Turquoises, Stone Exorcising Evil-spirits, White Jade Goblet, Mural of Camel Led by a Northern Barbarian in Ancient China, Tricolor Black Glaze Horse, Mugu Urn-shaped Bronze Wine Vessel, Bronze Tripod Coated with Silver and Gold of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and Clay Buddha Face of the Northern Wei Dynasty.

洛阳市乳钉纹铜爵、绿松石龙形器、石辟邪、白玉杯、胡人牵驼壁画、三彩黑釉马、母鼓铜方罍、东周错金银铜鼎、北魏泥塑佛面。

Anyang: Simuwu Quadripod, Fu Hao Owl-shaped Wine-drinking Vessel, Epitaph of Han Qi of the Northern Song Dynasty, Jade Phoenix of the Shang Dynasty, Steles of “King Wu of the Kingdom of Wei” , Oracle Bone with Red Inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty, Yellow Glaze Flat Wine Pot with Dancing-accompanied-by-music Patterns, White Glaze Weiqi Board of the Sui Dynasty, and Ivory Cup Inlaid with Turquoises.

安阳市司母戊鼎、妇好鸮尊、北宋韩琦墓志、商代玉凤、“魏武王常所用”石牌、商涂朱刻辞卜骨、黄釉乐舞扁壶、隋白釉瓷围棋盘、绿松石象牙杯。（记者温小娟 翻译赵汉青 审校白玉杰）
