Launching of the New Book: “Henan: In the Past 70 Years”

一本书里的河南速度 《河南七十年》出版

On November 19, the news briefing held by Information Office of Henan Provincial People’s Government released the book “Henan: In the Past 70 Years” to demonstrate the great achievements Henan has made over the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. As a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the new China, the book is complied by Henan Statistics Bureau and published by China Statistics Press.

11月19日，河南省政府新闻办召开《河南七十年》出版暨河南70年发展成就新闻发布会。今年是新中国成立70周年，为全面展示新中国成立70年以来河南发展取得的辉煌成就，河南省统计局组织编写了献礼之作《河南七十年》，该书由中国统计出版社出版发行。

“Henan: In the Past 70 Years” consists of two parts, namely “Development Achievement” and “Statistics”. The part of “Development Achievement” lists the brilliant achievements of Henan’s economic and social development over the past 70 years in various industries and fields with 19 reports. The “Statistics” contains the main indicators and statistics of Henan with 82 statistical tables in the past 70 years. Generally, the book is characterized by comprehensive statistics with high historical value.

《河南七十年》包括“发展成就篇”“统计资料篇”两大部分。“发展成就篇”包括19篇报告，从不同行业和领域全面展示70年来河南经济社会发展取得的辉煌成就；“统计资料篇”包括82张数据翔实的统计表，收录河南主要统计指标数据，历史跨度整整70年。该书是一部综合性统计资料书籍，具有较高的史料价值。

The book introduces the following statistics: the economic aggregate of Henan in 2018 reached 4.8 trillion Yuan which is 308.6 times that of 1949 in terms of comparable prices, maintaining the 5th place for 15 consecutive years from 2004. The per capita GDP of Henan province in 2018 totaled 50, 152 yuan which is 131.8 times that of 1949 (the per capita GDP was only 50 yuan in 1949) in terms of comparable prices. Besides, with an annual growth rate 7.3 percent from 1950 to 2018, the per capita GDP of Henan province leaped to the 18th place from the 28th in early stage of reform and opening-up.

据该书介绍，2018年，全省经济总量达4.8万亿元，按可比价格计算是1949年的308.6倍，从2004年起连续15年稳居全国第5位。其中人均生产总值数据亮眼，2018年全省人均GDP达50152元，按可比价格计算，是1949年人均50元的131.8倍，1950～2018年年均增长7.3%，居全国的位次由改革开放初期的第28位提升至第18位。（记者申华 编译赵汉青 审校焦丹）
