A Special Gift from Afar -- Henan’s Original Stage Opera “Starry Night” on Show in Beijing

一份跨越千里的特别礼物——河南大型原创舞台剧《星空》在京演出

On November 26, the large-scale original stage opera “Starry Night” adapted from Li Fang’s story, an excellent teacher in China and outstanding Party member of CPC in Henan province, was on show at the auditorium of Beijing Normal University. This special gift from 700 kilometers away brings special warmth into the frozen winter.

11月26日，以全国优秀教师、河南省优秀共产党员李芳事迹为原型改编的大型多媒体音画剧诗《星空》亮相北京师范大学礼堂，寒冷的冬日里，这份跨越七百公里的特别礼物显得格外温暖。

Li Fang used to be a teacher at a Primary School of Project Hope namely “Lüzhifeng” which is located in Dongjiahe town, Shihe district, Xinyang city, Henan province. On June 13, 2018, in order to save the students who were crossing the street in dangerous, she sacrificed her life when knocked down by a runaway motor tricycle.

李芳老师生前系河南省信阳市浉河区董家河镇绿之风希望小学教师，2018年6月13日，在护送学生放学过马路的途中，为了抢救学生，被一辆失控的机动三轮车撞倒，抢救无效永远离开了她挚爱的三尺讲台。

Approvals made by Wang Guosheng, secretary of Henan Provincial Party Committee, Chen Run’er, former governor of Henan Provincial People’s Government, and Huo Jinhua, vice governor of Henan Provincial People’s Government, etc, call on people from all sectors of society to deeply explore her good deeds and widely publicize her touching spirit to fully foster the positive image of Henan province in the new era. Under this background, the original stage opera “Starry Night” came into being.

对于李芳的感人事迹，河南省委书记王国生、时任省长陈润儿、副省长霍金花等领导先后多次作出批示，要求深入挖掘其先进事迹，加大宣传，充分展现新时代河南好形象。《星空》就是在这一背景下，根据李芳老师的先进事迹改编的原创舞台剧。

The opera “Starry Night” consists of prelude, “Original Aspiration”, “Mission”, “Choice” and epilogue, which demonstrates both the greatness of Li Fang’s behavior at the moment of sacrificing and Li Fang’s decisive choices in her life stage when studying in Xinyang Normal University.

《星空》剧目分为序幕、《初心》《使命》《抉择》和尾声，不仅展现了李芳老师舍身救生那一瞬间的伟大，同时从李芳老师在信阳师范学校求学阶段开始，挖掘了其在不同人生阶段的几次重要抉择。

On the opera spot, the audience was all deeply moved by the vivid and authentic performance with prolonged applause.
