The First Teacher First Aid Volunteer Team Established in Nanyang

The medical staff of Nanyang 120 first aid command center and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College visited Nanyang Wannan Fengqiao School recently, and gave a lecture on first aid to all teachers and students.

Pre-hospital first-aid is an important part of saving lives. In order to popularize the first-aid skills, the staff gave a wonderful and vivid first-aid training lecture to the teachers, students and parents, using easy-to-understand language and a practical demonstration.

The teachers and students took part in the simulation exercise of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They also learned the Heimlich maneuver, the first aid skills for trachea being obstructed.

The first teacher first-aid volunteer team comprised of ten members was established at the school in Nanyang.

"We should not only teach the students knowledge, but we should teach them the ways to rescue the dying and the wounded. I hope more people will learn first-aid knowledge ," said Yu Dexiao, the principal of Wannan Fengqiao School.
