Self-helped litigation service provided by some courts is no longer novel, but have you ever heard of a 24-hour ATM-like self-service court? On December 18, the provincial first “24-hour Self-service Court” was opened by the People’s Court of Ningling County, providing a new mode of all-weather litigation service to benefit the public.

法院提供自助式诉讼服务已不是新鲜事，但像银行自助机一样提供24小时自助服务的法院，你见过吗？12月18日，宁陵县人民法院在全省率先挂牌成立“24小时自助法院”，实现诉讼服务不打烊，开启便民服务新模式。

“I had never thought business could be conducted when the staff have clocked off.” Given his tight schedule, Mr. Zhao missed the office hours when he arrived at the court to file a lawsuit over a loan dispute. He felt surprised at the prominent sign of “24-hour self-service court”. Following the operating instructions, he didn’t take long to have the case filed.

“还以为这趟要白跑了，没想到下班时间也能办业务。”赵某因工作繁忙，来到法院起诉一借款纠纷案件时，已过下班时间。看到“24小时自助法院”显眼的标识，赵某既好奇又惊喜。按照提示，没用多久他便在自助设备的引导下立了案。

The “24-hour self-service court” is equipped with a terminal device which can realize such functions as online filing, litigation guidance, information inquiry, document printing and fee payment. By scanning his ID card, the litigant can enter the system and conduct various businesses by himself.

“24小时自助法院”配备有集网上立案、查询、打印、缴费于一体的自助终端设备，拥有自助立案、诉讼引导、信息查询及费用缴纳等近10种自助服务功能。当事人扫描身份证就可进入自助终端，按照系统提示自助办理各类业务。

The “24-hour self-service court” by breaking the shackles of traditional weekday mode provides “one-stop” service for those who need to conduct business during off hours to meet litigants’ diversified needs, improve efficiency, save litigation costs and relieve their litigation exhaustion, said Wang Hongwei, head of the People’s Court of Ningling County.

该院院长王宏伟表示，“24小时自助法院”的设立，突破了诉讼服务受工作日限制的传统模式，能够为工作时间之外需办理业务的当事人提供“一站式”服务，满足当事人多元化司法需求，提升诉讼效率，节约诉讼成本，减轻当事人诉累。（记者周青莎 编译赵汉青 审校丁岚）
