Written into a Children’s Bestseller in Britain, China’s Ace Spiker Zhu Ting Breaks a New Record!

朱婷再次刷新纪录！被写进英国知名儿童绘本

“When I Grow Up -- Sports Heroes”, a children’s bestseller published by a leading British publisher, tells a series of inspirational stories of how kids grow up to be world sports stars, of which the story of Zhu Ting, captain of China’s women’s volleyball team is also included, together with the stories of other sports stars like Lionel Messi, LeBron James, Usain Bolt, Simone Biles, Hanyu Yuzuru, etc., according to a report of Dahe Daily recently.

日前，英国一家知名出版社刊发了一本名为《等我长大——体育英雄》(When I Grow Up -- Sports Heroes)的儿童读物，讲述了孩子如何成长为世界体育巨星的励志故事。中国女排队长朱婷的故事也被收录其中，与朱婷一起被写进书里的还有梅西、詹姆斯、博尔特、拜尔斯、羽生结弦等体坛巨星。

With words and pictures, this book, aimed at children, tells a series of inspirational stories of the world-renowned sports stars, the book recommendation of which writes, “How do little kids become sports superstars? Find out in this inspiring board book for little ones. Let your children turn the pages and see that, like their heroes, the experiences and passions they have now can lead to incredible achievements.” 

据悉，这本儿童读物采用了漫画和文字相结合的方式，向儿童介绍了世界各国的优秀运动员的成长经历。书籍的推荐语这样写道：“小孩子是如何成为体育巨星的？在这本鼓舞人心的书里可以找到答案。让你的孩子翻开书页，像他们的英雄一样，他们现在的经历和激情可以带来不可思议的成就。”

As can be seen from the pictures, the cartoon image of Zhu Ting appears clearly and vividly on the book. Apart from the story of China’s ace spiker Zhu Ting, the stories of Argentina’s soccer star Lionel Messi, America’s basketball star LeBron James and gymnastics star Simone Biles, Jamaica’s sprint star Usain Bolt, Japan’s figure skating star Hanyu Yuzuru, etc., are also illustrated in the book.

从图片中可以看到，朱婷的漫画形象跃然纸上。与她同时被收录进此书的还有足球巨星梅西、篮球巨星勒布朗-詹姆斯、体操女皇拜尔斯、短跑飞人博尔特、花滑王子羽生结弦等世界名将。

In recent years, as the captain of China’s women’s volleyball team, Zhu Ting has led the Chinese women’s volleyball team to win the championship in the Olympic Games, the World Cup, etc. The superstar spiker and captain herself has also been voted as the Most Valuable Player for several times.

作为中国女排的队长，朱婷率领球队在近年来连续获得奥运会、世界杯等大赛冠军，朱婷自己也屡屡荣获MVP殊荣。

It is worth noting that compared with other sports like soccer, volleyball is not popular in Britain. The British volleyball team made its only Olympic appearance eight years ago in London as the host nation.
