Autumn Harvest Almost Done in Henan

河南省秋收基本结束 麦播超四成

 

It is learned from Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on October 16 that by the end of that day, 110.66 million mu (1 mu equals to 0.067 hectares) of autumn crops have been harvested in Henan, accounting for 94.6 percent of the total planting area. Only some late sown varieties, such as the rice along the Yellow River, sweet potato and vegetables left unharvested.

10月16日，记者从省农业农村厅获悉，截至当日，河南省秋作物已收获11066万亩，占播种面积的94.6%。除部分沿黄水稻和红薯、蔬菜等晚茬作物外，秋收基本结束。

Autumn harvest is followed by autumn planting. At present, wheat-sowing has started across Henan province with 110.87 million mu of fallowed fields and 72.11 million mu of prepared lands. So far, 36.98 million mu of wheat has been sown, accounting for 43.5 percent of the total planned area, mainly in Shangqiu (7.28 million mu), Zhoukou (5.03 million mu), Zhumadian (3.91 million mu), Xinxiang (3.77 million mu), Anyang (3.69 million mu), Puyang (3.37 million mu) and Luoyang (2.41 million mu).

秋收连着秋种，目前我省麦播大面积展开，全省已腾茬10087万亩、整地7211万亩，小麦已播种3698万亩，占预计面积的43.5%，其中商丘728万亩、周口503万亩、驻马店391万亩、新乡377万亩、安阳369万亩、濮阳337万亩、洛阳241万亩。

 

Henan ranks first in wheat-producing among Chinese provinces. It will keep the area sown stable at over 85 million mu including 15 million mu of high-quality wheat as planned.
