130 Tons of South American Soybeans Arrive in Henan

这130吨远道而来的南美大豆对于河南有多“重”？

Port is not only a key platform for deeper integration with the world and greater opening-up, but also plays a significant role in global cooperation and competition. On October 20, marking the arrival of the first batch of Uruguayan soybeans in Henan, a celebrating ceremony co-sponsored by Henan Provincial People’s Government and Embassy of Uruguay in China was held in Zhengzhou Economic and Technology Development Zone during the Uruguay Week.

口岸是融通世界、扩大开放的关键门户和平台，是参与全球合作竞争的重要桥梁和纽带。10月20日，由河南省人民政府、乌拉圭驻华大使馆共同主办的河南省“乌拉圭周”首舶乌拉圭大豆抵豫仪式在郑州经济开发区隆重举办。

On December 12, 2014, the Designated Port for Imported Grains was approved to establish in Henan by former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. On May 9, 2019, General Administration of Customs officially announced that Zhengzhou Liangyun Grain Port Development Co., Ltd, an operation unit of the designated supervision site of Zhengzhou Railway Container Center Station, had officially obtained the operation qualification.

2014年12月12日，河南进境粮食指定口岸获原国家质检总局批复设立。2019年5月9日，海关总署正式发布公告，郑州良运粮食口岸发展有限公司作为郑州铁路集装箱中心站进境粮食指定监管场地运营单位，正式获得运营资质。

The smooth arrival of the 130 tons of Uruguayan soybeans in Henan is the debut of shipping grain containers from South America to inland China, which is the first time in China and will promote the economic and trade exchanges between Henan and South America. In the future, Henan also plans to import soybean, corn, barley, honey and other agricultural and sideline products from more countries, so as to provide professional and high-quality value-added services for the enterprises related to logistics, trade and processing of agricultural by-products across the province.

本次130吨乌拉圭大豆的顺利到货，是南美洲海运粮食集装箱到中国内陆城市的“首秀”，在国内尚属首次，有利于促进我省与南美洲经贸往来。今后河南口岸还计划从更多国家进口大豆、玉米、大麦、蜂蜜等多种农副产品，为河南农副产品物流、贸易、加工企业提供专业、优质的增值服务。

It is estimated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the clearance volume of grains via Henan’s relevant ports will reach 600 thousand tons with about 10 billion yuan of comprehensive trade volumes, which helps to form a “Henan phenomenon” in the prices of imported agricultural by-products and strive for international food trade pricing power to promote the construction of an inland opening-up highland.

预计“十四五”期间，河南口岸粮食通关量可达60万吨，实现综合交易额100亿元，有利于形成进境农副产品的“河南口岸价格”，争取国际粮食贸易定价权，助力我省打造内陆对外开放高地。（中文来源/大河网 记者/何心悦 翻译/赵汉青 审校/焦丹）
