Henan Sees Increase in Market Entities

全省市场主体总量突破761万户 居中部六省第一位

News from Administration for Market Regulation of Henan Province on October 21 -- By the end of September this year, the total number of market entities/players have reached 7.6108 million, ranking fifth in China and first among the six provinces of Central China, with a year-on-year growth of 14.2 percent, of which 2.0723 million are registered ones, up 17.9 percent year-on-year.

10月21日，记者从省市场监督管理局获悉，截至今年9月底，全省实有市场主体总量达761.08万户，居全国第五位，中部六省第一位，同比增长14.2%。其中，实有企业数达207.23万户，同比增长17.9%。

“Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of newly-registered market entities/players in Henan experienced a year-on-year decrease in the first three quarters, but the number of newly-established enterprises reached 327.8 thousand, up 4.9 percent year-on-year.” According to Ma Linqing, head of the Administration, the continuous business system reform in Henan has not only relaxed the threshold of enterprise registration, but also saved a lot of costs for enterprises and stimulated the market vitality. Since this year, 1,214 new enterprises have been set up every day across the province, while in 2013, before the implementation of the business system reform, the number was less than 237. At the same time, by the end of September this year, the average number of enterprises per 1,000 people in Henan has increased to 21.54, with a year-on-year growth of 17.7 percent, ranking first among the six provinces of Central China in terms of quantity and growth rate.

“受疫情影响，今年前三季度我省新设立市场主体数量同比有所减少，但新设立企业数量达32.78万户，同比逆势增加4.9%。”省市场监督管理局局长马林青介绍，我省持续开展的商事制度改革不仅放宽了企业登记注册门槛，也为企业节省了大量成本，激发了市场活力。今年以来，全省日均新设立企业1214户，而在商事制度改革前的2013年，我省日均新登记企业基本不超过237户。同时，截至今年9月底，我省平均每千人拥有企业数上升为21.54户，同比增长17.7%，数量和增速在中部六省中均居第一位。

In addition, the structure of the market entities/players in Henan has also entered a period fast transformation and upgrading. According to data analysis, by the end of September this year, the number of market entities/players in the tertiary industry and its total capital have contributed to the growth of the total market entities/players across the province by over 86 percent and 68 percent respectively, playing a more prominent role in economic and social development. Of the modern service enterprises set up this year, 90 percent are concentrated in scientific research and technical services, rental and business services, real estate, culture, sports and entertainment. Among them, the financial sector has witnessed the fastest growth, with the number of the newly-established enterprises growing more than 49.8 percent year-on-year.
