China's First Archaeological Museum Opens to Public in Luoyang

我国首座遗址型考古博物馆——洛阳考古博物馆正式开馆

Recently, Luoyang Archaeological Museum, China's first archaeological museum, has been opened in Luoyang (the capital of Oriental museums), attracting lots of visitors to feel the city's profound history.

近日，我国首座遗址型考古博物馆——洛阳考古博物馆正式开馆，吸引众多游客来此参观、体验，品读古都洛阳深厚的历史底蕴。

Managed by Luoyang Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Luoyang Archaeological Museum is located near the South Wall of Luoyang City Site during the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, aiming to spread Heluo culture and demonstrate Luoyang's archaeological achievements over the years.

该博物馆依托隋唐洛阳城遗址南城墙而建，由洛阳市文物考古研究院建设管理，是一座面向社会公众展示河洛文化和洛阳历年考古成果的综合性场馆。

Covering an area of about 3,000 square meters, Luoyang Archaeological Museum has not only exhibited 269 exquisite cultural relics unearthed in Luoyang, dating from prehistoric times to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, but also lots of stories behind the relics, archaeological sites and tools. In the future, it will become a window for archaeological cultural exchanges and exhibition of the latest archaeological findings in Luoyang, giving visitors a new appreciation.

该馆展陈面积约3000平方米，馆内共展出了从史前至明清时期洛阳出土的269件精品文物，以及考古故事、考古遗址遗迹和考古工具等，未来，这里将成为洛阳展示最新考古成果和考古文化交流的重要窗口。（中文来源/河南日报 翻译/赵汉青 审校/焦丹）
