Yutong Signs the Largest Electric Bus Order for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

宇通客车“驶入”2022卡塔尔世界杯，签下18亿海外最大纯电动客车订单

Recently, Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co., Ltd., (Yutong Bus) signed an order about CNY1.8 billion for 1,002 buses with Mowasalat, the Qatar public transport company, mainly on commuting services for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 (Qatar 2022). The signing ceremony was successfully held online on November 30. For Yutong Bus, Qatar 2022 is the second major international sporting event for which the company has provided service and support following the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

11月30日，宇通客车与卡塔尔国家运输公司（Mowasalat）通过线上云签约1002台2022年卡塔尔世界杯车辆供应及服务合同，订单总金额近18亿。这是继2018年俄罗斯世界杯后，顶级绿茵赛事再次锁定中国宇通。

It is worth noting that among the 1,002 buses, 741 are pure electric ones, making it the largest order of EV buses ever. The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy responsible for Qatar 2022 pointed out that the key point for the preparatory work is sustainability. It is the first time for electric bus to act as a "protagonist" to provide commuting services for FIFA World Cup.

值得关注的是，其中741台纯电动客车刷新了海外纯电动客车订单的最大值。日前，负责2022卡塔尔世界杯筹备工作的交付与遗产最高委员会指出：“可持续性将是本届世界杯筹备工作的核心。”基于此，纯电动客车首次以“主角”的身份参与到世界杯的运输保障工作中。

During the event, Yutong Bus also signed a framework agreement with Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) and Mowasalat build a KD factory in Qatar free trade zones. Technology export will not only boost Qatar's industrialization to serve the green transformation of local public vehicles, but also enhance the country's supporting facilities of auto industry to facilitate the industry's cluster development.

同期，宇通客车还与卡塔尔方面签署框架协议，拟在卡塔尔自由区建立电动客车KD工厂，以技术输出带动卡塔尔工业化水平，服务卡塔尔环保车辆转型战略，提升汽车产业配套能力，带动汽车产业集群发展。

China's new energy auto industry has entered a rapid development period, made key breakthroughs in market, technology and products, and become an important engine in global auto transformation. So far, Yutong Bus has sold more than 130,000 new energy buses to 24 countries and regions worldwide, including France, Great Britain, Australia, Chile and Denmark.

据了解，我国新能源汽车产业发展已经从培育期进入发展期，实现了市场、技术、产品的突破，成为引领全球汽车转型的重要力量。目前，宇通新能源客车销量已累计突破13万辆，批量远销至法国、英国、澳大利亚、智利、丹麦等24个国家和地区。

After Qatar 2022, these 1,002 vehicles will be put into Qatar's public transport system, of which 741 pure electric buses will become a new start for the country's new energy public transport system. In the future, the KD factory will provide new energy vehicles for Qatar and even more surrounding countries with an annual production capacity of more than 300 buses.
