1,054b Yuan: Major Projects Investment in Henan Exceeding Annual Target in 2020

Investment on 1,182 major projects in Henan reached 1,054 billion yuan in 2020, 113.8 percent of last year's planned total, according to statistics from the Leading Group Office of Major Project Construction, the People's Government of Henan Province, on January 28. A total of 492 newly-started projects contributed 100.6 percent of the operating rate while 159 completed projects 104 percent of closing rate, which already exceeded the annual target set in 2020 and became the main engine driving the overall economic growth.
1月28日，省政府重点项目办发布喜讯，去年我省1182个重点项目完成投资10540亿元，占年度目标的113.8%；开工项目492个，开工率100.6%；竣工项目159个，竣工率104%，全面超额完成既定目标任务，成为拉动全省经济增长的中坚力量。
Despite the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing downward pressure on China's economy, Henan's major projects took the lead in resuming work and production with the smooth progress of a number of key projects in 2020, covering new infrastructure, industrial transformation and development, innovation-driven development, basic capability, new urbanization, etc. Besides, National Supercomputing Center in Zhengzhou passed official appraisal of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology; "Huanghe" Kunpeng Server & PC Production Base was put into operation; High-efficiency & Energy-saving Engine Project of SAIC Zhengzhou Industrial Base started construction; 4150-mu Pilot Field of National Innovation Center of Bio-Breeding commenced infrastructure building; Taiyuan-Jiaozuo High-speed Railway and Zhengzhou Airport-Zhengzhounan Station Intercity Railway were opened to traffic; Bipolar Low-end System of Qinghai-Henan ±800 kV UHV DC Transmission Project started power supply; Zhengzhou Metro Line 3 (Phase I) and 4 were also opened to traffic.
据介绍，面对突如其来的新冠肺炎疫情和国内经济下行压力持续加大，去年我省重点项目率先实现全面复工复产，一批重大关键项目进展顺利，涵盖新基建、产业转型发展、创新驱动发展、基础能力建设、新型城镇化等领域，国家超级计算郑州中心通过科技部验收，黄河鲲鹏服务器及PC机生产基地建成投产，上汽郑州产业基地高效节能发动机项目开工建设，国家生物育种产业创新中心4150亩田间试验区基础工程全面开工，太焦铁路、郑州机场至郑州南站城际铁路通车运营，青电入豫工程双极低端已送电，郑州地铁3号线一期、4号线通车运营等。
This year, focusing on the flow direction of the state funds, the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Ecological Protection, High-quality Development of the Yellow River Basin, a number of major projects will be selected and launched, striving to increase the number of projects featured by significantly improved quality and further optimized structure, said a source from the Leading Group Office of Major Project Construction.
