Lawmakers from Henan Deliver 635 Speeches at NPC's Annual Session

On the afternoon of March 11, the fourth session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) concluded successfully in Beijing. The delegation from Henan province held a press conference at which Gao Xin, the spokesperson, released relevant information.

According to Gao, Henan delegation held 2 plenary meetings and 9 panel discussions. The deputies carefully studied President Xi Jinping's remarks made at the panel discussions with the lawmakers from Inner Mongolia and Qinghai, at the plenary meetings of the People's Liberation Army and the Armed Police Force, and during his discussion with the national political advisers from education, medical and health sectors. They actively performed their duties and put forward opinions and suggestions on the topics of the "two sessions", delivering speeches for 635 times. A total of 13 brief reports were issued with a number of high-quality bills and suggestions submitted. As of March 10, the number of news reports related to Henan delegation by newspapers, radios, televisions, online media, etc., has exceeded 12 thousand (among which over 680 by the central media) with a total of 3.5 billion viewing. The all-round and timely coverage has fully showed a responsible and passionate Henan delegation.
据介绍，本次大会，河南代表团先后召开2次全体会议、9次代表小组会议。代表们认真学习了习近平总书记参加内蒙古、青海代表团审议，出席解放军和武警部队代表团会议以及看望参加政协会议医药卫生界教育界委员时的重要讲话精神，并围绕大会议题积极履行职责、建言献策，先后发言635人次。共编发大会简报13期，代表们提交了一批高质量的议案建议。截至3月10日，报纸、广播、电视、网络等媒体刊发、报道河南代表团相关新闻报道1.2万多篇（条），其中中央媒体刊播重点报道680余篇（条），总阅读量达35亿人次，全面、立体、及时、充分地展现了代表履职风采、河南出彩形象。
Arriving at the historic juncture of the Two Centenary Goals, China has embarked on a new journey to build a modern socialist country in all respects. A blueprint for high-quality development has been drawn up; China's institutional strengths are becoming more prominent; and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is marching forward firmly. The successful convening of the "two sessions" further demonstrates China's growing openness to the world, which is not only a gesture, but also a sign of confidence and magnanimity. According to the lawmakers, they will continue to implement the spirit of President Xi's important speech, take a lead to convey and interpret the spirit of the "two sessions" under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and carry them out in all sectors to build a socialist modernized Henan in an all-round way.
