Cargolux's Cargo Throughput in Zhengzhou Sees Double Increase in Jan-Feb
今年前两个月 卢货航在郑运量同比增长超两倍
News from Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone on March 18 -- In the first two months of 2021, Cargolux Airlines International totally made 107 trips hitting a record high of 21.3 thousand tons of cargo throughput with a year-on-year increase of 228.1 percent on the Zhengzhou-Luxembourg international freight route, and has become a bellwether in Zhengzhou's air cargo business.
3月18日，记者从郑州航空港经济综合实验区获悉，今年前两个月，卢森堡货航郑州航线累计执飞航班107班、货运量约2.13万吨，同比增长228.1%，创下历史同期最高纪录，成为郑州机场国际货运“领头羊”。
Business used to be slack during the Chinese Spring Festival in international air cargo market, but at the beginning of this year, Cargolux witnessed a different trend because of the continuous increase of global air cargo brought by the stable epidemic control and economic recovery, along with the increased purchasing power of domestic consumers and the expanded demands for imported goods benefited from the appreciation of RMB.
据了解，春节前后通常是国际货运业务的短期淡季，然而今年年初卢森堡货航郑州航线却淡季不淡。其主要原因一是随着疫情稳定、经济复苏，全球航空货运需求持续改善，豫卢双方凭借扎实的合作，货运量持续攀升；二是得益于人民币升值，国内消费者购买力增强，进口规模不断扩大，市场对国际货运需求持续增加。
Cargolux Airlines International is the first whose stake was partially purchased by Henan Province. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Cargolux's cargo flights have been operating as usual reaching the peak of 29 per week to ensure the smooth flow of domestic and international logistics, and completed the transportation of medical supplies donated by Henan to Luxembourg. At the Forum on "Silk Road in the Air (Zhengzhou-Luxembourg)" on June 14, 2020, Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel remarked in the video that the "Aerial Silk Road" has become an air bridge and the vital lifeline for Luxembourg and other European countries.
