A Female Alpinist from Henan Sets out to Rescale World's Highest Peak

出发！这位河南女登山家要去再次征服世界最高峰

On April 9, Sun Ning, an alpinist from Henan province, sets out for Lhasa to receive adaptive training for her upcoming second Qomolangma climbing. Sun Ning once successfully reached the summit from the Qomolangma's south slope in 2019, becoming Henan's first female alpinist who has topped the highest mountain. This time, Sun Ning plans to take on the challenge from the north slope when the time is right.

4月9日，河南高山运动员孙宁出发前往拉萨，为再次攀登珠穆朗玛峰进行适应性训练。2019年，孙宁曾从南坡成功登顶珠穆朗玛峰，她也是我省首位征服珠峰的女性登山家。这次，孙宁计划在合适的时候挑战从北坡登顶世界最高峰。

On May 25, 1960, Wang Fuzhou, an alpinist from Henan and also the prototype of the hero in the hit film of The Climbers, became the first in the world to reach the summit of Qomolangma from its north slope. Since Wang Fuzhou, about 15 alpinists from Henan have successfully reached the peak.
