Henan to Promote Electronic ID Card, Driver's License and Vehicle License This Year

今年河南全面推广使用公安电子证照

 

When you go out, you don't have to worry about forgetting your ID card or driving license anymore. The Department of Public Security of Henan Province will promote a kind of electronic ID card, driver's license and vehicle license across the province. 

今后出门不用再为忘记携带身份证和驾驶证发愁了，省公安厅将在全省范围内推广使用公安电子证照。

On April 12, the Department of Public Security of Henan Province released 10 measures for public benefit, one of which is that by the end of this year, Henan will comprehensively promote electronic ID card, driver’s license and vehicle license across the province.

4月12日，省公安厅公布爱民实践十项举措，今年年底前，我省将全面推行省内居民使用电子身份证、电子驾驶证和电子行驶证。

 

According to the schedule, electronic ID card can be used for check-in at hotels in Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang, Pingdingshan, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo and Shangqiu by the end of April, while in the rest prefecture-level cities and Jiyuan Industry-city Integration Demonstration Zone by the end of June. It should noted that electronic ID card, at present, is only available for those with a Henan household registration, and in the future, such service will be extended to those without a Henan household registration through mutual electronic ID card recognition.

按照省公安厅部署安排，4月底前，郑州、开封、洛阳、平顶山、新乡、焦作、商丘等7个省辖市将在所有旅馆实现电子身份证业务功能，其余省辖市和济源示范区将于6月底前完成。需要注意的是，电子身份证目前仅支持河南省内户籍人员，后期将依托公安电子证照跨省互认工作，逐步会新增其他省份户籍人员。

 

Electronic driver's license and vehicle license are only available for those not only with physical licenses issued by the province's traffic police department, but also a Henan's licence plate, and can only be used within the province.

目前，河南省电子驾驶证、电子行驶证仅适用于由河南公安交警部门核发的机动车驾驶证件，车辆仅限“豫”牌车辆且仅限在河南省行政区范围内。（中文来源/河南日报 翻译/赵汉青 审校/张玉红）
