Yellow Emperor Honored in Xinzheng with Ancient Ceremony

辛丑年黄帝故里拜祖大典隆重举行

With the theme of "praising all the Chinese people shared the same roots and ancestor, wishing China is in peace and harmony", on April 14 (the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month), a grand ceremony to honor Huangdi or the Yellow Emperor was held in Xinzheng of Zhengzhou, Huangdi's hometown. Some Chinese people both at home and abroad gathered in Central China to worship Xuanyuan (Huangdi's given name), carry forward the Yellow River culture and pray for the prosperity of the Chinese nation.

颂同根同祖同源，祈和平和睦和谐。4月14日，农历三月初三，辛丑年黄帝故里拜祖大典在新郑黄帝故里隆重举行。海内外炎黄子孙齐聚中原大地，拜谒人文始祖轩辕黄帝，传承弘扬黄河文化，祈福中华民族繁荣昌盛。

Hosted by the People's Government of Henan Province, CPPCC Henan Provincial Committee, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, All-China Federation Of Taiwan Compatriots and Association for Yan Huang Culture of China, and undertaken by Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, CPPCC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee and Xinzheng Municipal People's Government, the ceremony this year highlighted the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the new journey to fully build a modern socialist country.

本届黄帝故里拜祖大典由河南省人民政府、政协河南省委员会、国务院台湾事务办公室、中华全国归国华侨联合会、中华全国台湾同胞联谊会、中华炎黄文化研究会等单位联合主办，郑州市人民政府、政协郑州市委员会、新郑市人民政府承办，突出宣传中国共产党成立100周年和开启全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程。

The grand ceremony has nine solemn and sacred procedures: a grand salute, the offering of flower baskets, the cleaning of hands and the offering incense, worship, reading slogans of worship, singing an ode, song and dance performances, expressing good wishes to the Chinese nation, and praying for peace and harmony. About 1,000 people, including representatives from all walks of life and nearly 100 news media, attended the ceremony.

大典共有盛世礼乐、敬献花篮、净手上香、行施拜礼、恭读拜文、高唱颂歌、乐舞敬拜、祈福中华、天地人和等9项仪程。社会各界代表及近百家新闻媒体约1000人在现场参加了拜祖大典。

A multi-innovative online platform for worship was also in place for the Chinese people at home and abroad to worship Xuanyuan and pray for the nation. By 17:00, April 14, 1.713 billion people visited the online platform, including 58.25 million who in interactions for this worship.
