Local authorities in Muye district in Henan province's Xinxiang city have relocated more than 9,000 residents as it endeavors to cope with widespread floods triggered by continuous torrential rains.
A total of 5,000 people have been mobilized to urgently relocate another 19,000 residents from unsafe areas.There were dam breaches along the Weihe River in Xinxiang and Hebi, according to media reports.
