ZHENGZHOU, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, will on Sunday launch the third round of citywide nucleic acid testings to cope with a COVID-19 resurgence.
The city on Saturday started comprehensive testings in medium- and high-risk areas for COVID-19, which will expand to the entire city on Sunday, according to Zhengzhou's headquarters on COVID-19 prevention and control.
The city on Saturday added three residential compounds and one village to the list of medium-risk areas for COVID-19, which will impose closed-off management and travel restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
A total of 40 locally transmitted confirmed cases and 83 asymptomatic cases have been registered in Zhengzhou since July 30.
