9月15日上午，“嵩山论坛——华夏文明与世界文明对话”2018年会在登封市开幕。
On the morning of September 15, the “Songshan Forum - Dialogue between Chinese and Other World Civilizations” of 2018 opened in Dengfeng.
本届嵩山论坛由中国国际文化交流中心、中国文物学会、北京大学高等人文研究院、河南省华夏历史文明传承创新基金会主办，设文化论坛和海外华文媒体论坛，来自海内外的专家学者、海外华文媒体代表围绕主题开展主旨演讲、学术研讨、圆桌对话等交流活动。
The forum is co-hosted by China International Culture Exchange Center, Chinese Society of Cultural Relics, Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies of Peking University, Henan Foundation for the Inheritance and Innovation of Chinese History and Civilization, consisting of Culture Forum and Overseas Chinese Media Forum. Experts and scholars both at home and abroad, and representatives of overseas Chinese media will carry out keynote speeches, academic seminars and round-table dialogues around the theme.
开幕式上，嵩山论坛组委会主任、河南省政协原副主席张广智对海内外嘉宾的到来表示热烈欢迎。他说，嵩山论坛创办以来，坚持以文明对话为切入点，提供了一个文化交流的高端学术平台，保持了鲜明的特色。本届年会以“多元共存·和谐共生·未来共享”为主题，紧贴构建人类命运共同体的鲜明导向，顺应时代潮流，符合各方关切。他希望嘉宾们在论坛上发表真知灼见，共绘世界文明交流互鉴、共同进步的蓝图，为推进构建人类命运共同体贡献智慧和力量。
At the opening ceremony, Zhang Guangzhi, director of Songshan Forum Organizing Committee and former vice chairman of CPPCC, extended a warm welcome to the guests both at home and abroad. He said, since the first launch of Songshan Forum, it has adhered to take civilization and dialogue as its starting point, providing the high-end academic platform for cultural exchanges and maintaining the distinctive characteristics. With the theme of “Multicultural Coexistence·Harmonious Symbiosis·Sharing Future”, the forum this time follows the principle of building a community with a shared future for mankind, which complies with the trend of the times and meets the concerns of all parties. He hoped that the guests would share their insights on the forum, draw blueprint for world civilization exchanges, mutual learning and common progress, and contribute their wisdom and strength to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

More than 100 guests, including representatives representing diverse cultures at home and abroad, senior managements of overseas Chinese media as well as financiers, attended the forum.
