河南森林城市建设谱写新篇章 

15个县（市）成功创建首批省级森林城市

15 Counties (County-level Cities) of Henan Award Provincial "Forest Cities" Title

10月30日，河南省森林城市建设掀开新的一页。当天，在汝州市举行的2019年全省省级森林城市建设工作会议上，省林业局授予登封市、兰考县等15个县（市）“省级森林城市”荣誉称号。这是我省开展森林城市建设以来命名的首批省级森林城市。

The construction of forest city in Henan province turned over a new page on October 30. 15 counties (county-level cities), including Dengfeng and Lankao, were awarded the honor of “Provincial Forest City” by Henan Provincial Department of Forestry at the Conference on Provincial Forest City Construction 2019 held in Ruzhou, emerging the first provincial forest cities.

自2017年4月河南省启动省级森林城市创建以来，已有49个县（市）提出申请，省林业局已批复同意36个县（市）开展省级森林城市建设，18个县（市）已经编制实施了省级森林城市建设规划，15个县（市）成功创建省级森林城市。

Since the first launch of provincial forest city construction in April 2017, Henan Provincial Department of Forestry has approved 36 counties’ (county-level cities) applications among 49 counties (county-level cities). To date, 18 counties (county-level cities) have formulated and implemented plans for provincial forest city construction, and 15 have successfully achieved the goals.

首批省级森林城市是：登封市、兰考县、栾川县、汝州市、郏县、林州市、博爱县、西峡县、淅川县、桐柏县、光山县、商城县、新县、鹿邑县、西平县。

The first batch of provincial forest cities include: Dengfeng city, Lankao county, Luanchuan county, Ruzhou city, Jiaxian county, Linzhou city, Boai county, Xixia county, Xichuan county, Tongbai county, Guangshan county, Shangcheng county, Xinxian county, Luyi county, and Xiping county.

 

15个县（市）中，兰考县、鹿邑县、西平县为平原县，其余12个位于森林资源“家底”相对丰厚的山区、低山丘陵区。

Among these 15 counties (county-level cities), Lankao county, Luyi county and Xiping county are located at the plains, while the rest 12 are situated at the mountains, low hills and hilly areas with abundant forest resources.

省林业局主要负责人秦群立说，目前，河南省森林城市建设走在全国前列，省辖市国家森林城市数量全国第一。下一步，我省将进一步加快省级森林城市创建力度和步伐，为县级国家森林城市创建做好铺垫。（记者陈慧 编译赵汉青 审校焦丹）

Qin Qunli, head of Henan Provincial Department of Forestry, remarked that Henan takes the lead in forest city construction and ranks the first place in terms of the number of prefecture-level cities obtaining the title of “National Forest City”. In the future, Henan will further develop the provincial forest city construction to lay a solid foundation for the county-level national forest cities.
