The New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing's Shunyi district is playing an important role in controlling the spread of imported novel coronavirus cases.

It has become a hub and travel gateway for inbound travelers who arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport and pass health checks for the virus.

Once clear, they are taken to one of 16 transfer zones at the center set up for travelers heading to other destinations in China.

After registering, they are taken by staff members from the provinces to which they are headed to their departure stations. The center is located 8 kilometers from the airport. China Daily photographer Zou Hong reports.
