Henan Actively Supports Sister Cities in Battle against Virus

河南积极支持国际友城战“疫”

On April 17, the government of Mie Prefecture posted a tweet that “China’s Henan province donated 50,000 masks to Mie Prefecture”, and then got hundreds of likes and retweets within a few hours from Japanese netizens, many of whom also expressed their gratitude in the comments like “Thanks for donating so many medical masks to us!” and “Much appreciated!”

“捐赠这么多口罩！太感谢了！”“非常感谢！”4月17日，日本三重县政府官方推特发布一则内容为“中国河南省向三重县捐赠5万只口罩”的信息，几小时内就获得日本网民数百次点赞与转发，许多网友更是通过留言向来自河南的援助表示感谢。

“Long distance separates no bosom friends.” With the increasing production capacity of medical supplies, Henan offers warm supports to its international sister cities.

友情无国界，天涯若比邻。随着医疗物资产能产量不断增长，全省各地在满足自身需要的同时，也向国际友城提供物资援助，为当地送去温暖和希望，传递信心和力量。

Henan Provincial People’s Government together with caring enterprises assisted the global anti-pandemic war by donating medical supplies, including N95 masks, surgical masks, protective suits, medical gloves, forehead thermometers and medial goggles, to its friendly cities, provinces and countries such as Luxembourg, North Gyeongsang and Daegu of South Korea, Bukhara in Uzbekistan, Wallonia of Belgium, North West and Limpopo of South Africa, Puglia of Italy, etc.

河南省政府联合爱心企业向卢森堡等友好国家以及韩国庆尚北道和大邱市、乌兹别克斯坦布哈拉州、比利时瓦隆大区、巴基斯坦俾路支省、南非西北省和林波波省、意大利普利亚大区等友好省州、国际友好城市捐献N95口罩、医用外科口罩、防护服、医用手套、额温枪、护目镜等物资，驰援国际战“疫”一线。

By donating 40,000 masks to its sister cities, Luoyang has put gratitude into action for the timely assistance from Okayama of Japan and Gwangju of South Korea amid virus outbreak.

洛阳市驰援友城日本冈山市和韩国光州广域市共计4万只医用口罩，用实际行动感谢友城在洛阳疫情防控关键时期给予的援助。

After receiving a letter for help from its sister city, Luohe immediately donated 20,000 medical masks to help the City of Hungarian Pearl out of difficulties.

接到友城匈牙利珍珠市发来的求助信后，漯河市及时捐赠了当地急需的2万只医用防护口罩，纾解了友城的燃眉之急。

Roughly estimated, the governments at all levels, enterprises, chambers of commerce and business across Henan have donated 94 batches of medical supplies worth of 12.6 million yuan to 31 countries including Italy, South Korea, Japan, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Britain, etc.

据不完全统计，截至4月20日，河南省各级政府、企业、商会协会等已向意大利、韩国、日本、卢森堡、法国、德国、英国等31个国家捐赠94批防疫物资，总价值约1260万元。（记者王绿扬 编译赵汉青 审校丁岚）
