According to Li Bingbing, deputy director-general of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, to support the overseas Chinese, students and Chinese-funded enterprises in Thailand in combating the pandemic, Henan and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand co-organized this video conference with the attendance of Huang Xueyong (director and chief physician at the Infectious Disease Institute of Henan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention) and Zhang Xiaoju (director of Pneumology Department of Henan Provincial People’s Hospital). “As the senior experts in the field of disease prevention and clinical treatment, Huang and Zhang have accumulated rich experience in supporting Hubei and Henan’s battle against the COVID-19.”

“With the upcoming rainy season in Thailand and the further relaxation of its anti-pandemic policy, the pandemic rebound risks still exist due to high incidence of infectious diseases, so it is still necessary to stay on high alert and pay close attention to the development of the pandemic,” said Yang Xin, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.
