Henan’s Foreign Trade Volume Hits 185.95 Billion Yuan in First 5 Months

News from Zhengzhou Customs on June 11 -- In the first five months of this year, Henan’s import and export volume reached 185.95 billion yuan, up 6.1 percent year-on-year, with the growth rate of 11 percentage points higher than the national average, ranking 5th in China. For the first time, the European Union (excluding the UK) has become Henan’s largest trade partner in place of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

6月11日，记者从郑州海关获悉，今年前5个月，河南进出口总值1859.5亿元，比去年同期（下同）增长6.1%，高于全国总体增速11个百分点，增速居全国第5位。其中出口1191.2亿元，进口668.3亿元。欧盟（不含英国）首次超过东盟成为河南第一大贸易伙伴。

According to Zhengzhou Customs data, from January to May, Henan’s trade with the US decreased 37.6 percent to 25.26 billion yuan, while with the EU (excluding the UK), the ASEAN, Latin America and the Taiwan region saw a year-on-year growth of 81.7 percent, 29.2 percent, 14.5 percent and 24.1 percent, reaching 27.88 billion yuan, 27.52 billion yuan, 15.89 billion yuan and 14.69 billion yuan respectively, accounting for 59.8 percent of its whole import and export volume.

据郑州海关数据显示，今年前5个月，河南对欧盟（不含英国）、东盟、美国、拉丁美洲和中国台湾分别进出口278.8亿元、275.2亿元、252.6亿元、158.9亿元和146.9亿元，除对美国进出口下降37.6%之外，对欧盟（不含英国）、东盟、拉丁美洲和中国台湾进出口分别增长81.7%、29.2%、14.5%和24.1%；上述5市场占全省外贸的59.8%。

Henan’s general trade decline has further narrowed. In the first 5 months, the import and export of processing trade increased by 10.6 percent to 106.26 billion yuan (accounting for 57.1 percent of the provincial total volume), while that of general trade declined by 2.7 percent (1.1 percentage points down than that of the first four months) to 73.84 billion yuan (accounting for 39.7 percent of the provincial total volume). Besides, the import and export of bonded logistics trade totaled 4.61 billion yuan, up 1.8 times from a year earlier.

一般贸易进出口下降幅度进一步收窄。今年前5个月，全省加工贸易进出口1062.6亿元，增长10.6%，占全省外贸总值的57.1%；一般贸易进出口738.4亿元，下降2.7%，降幅较前4个月收窄1.1个百分点，占39.7%。此外，保税物流贸易方式进出口46.1亿元，增长1.8倍。

The export of traditional labor-intensive products kept growing. In the first five months of 2020, the export value of mechanical and electrical products was down by 3.9 percent to 76.86 billion yuan (accounting for 64.5 percent of Henan’s total export volume). Among them, mobile phone maintains Henan’s largest export item with a value of 60.38 billion yuan (accounting for 50.6 percent of Henan’s export volume), down by 0.2 percent year-on-year. Besides, the export of agricultural products saw a decrease of 8.9 percent to 6.29 billion yuan. Meanwhile, traditional labor-intensive products (including 7 categories of textile, clothing, shoes and hats, cases and bags, furniture and toys) and aluminum products increased in export by 8.5 percent and 2.2 percent to 9.38 billion yuan and 3.9 billion yuan respectively.

劳动密集型产品保持增长，今年前5个月，全省出口机电产品768.6亿元，下降3.9%，占全省出口的64.5%；其中手机出口603.8亿元，下降0.2%，占全省出口的50.6%，继续保持我省第一大出口单项商品。劳动密集型产品（包括纺织服装鞋帽箱包家具玩具等7大类）出口93.8亿元，增长8.5%；农产品出口62.9亿元，下降8.9%；铝材出口39亿元，增长2.2%。

The import value of resources products remained rapid increasing. To the end of this May, Henan’s import value of mechanical and electrical products reported a year-on-year increase of 29.9 percent to 41.46 billion yuan, accounting for 62 percent of Henan’s total imports. Among them, the import value of integrated circuits has grown by 30.8 percent to 21.74 billion yuan, 32.5 percent of Henan’s total imports, ranking first as Henan’s largest import item. In addition, the import values of copper ores, consumer products, agricultural products, iron ores and crude oil were 5.62 billion yuan, 5.17 billion yuan, 2.92 billion yuan, 2.88 billion yuan and 1.62 billion yuan respectively, with each increasing by 8.3 percent, 9.6 percent, minus 11.2 percent, 11.5 percent and 58.6 percent.

能源资源类产品进口增速较高。今年前5个月，河南省进口机电产品414.6亿元，增长29.9%，占全省进口的62%，其中，进口集成电路217.4亿元，增长30.8%，占全省进口的32.5%，是河南省最大的进口商品。铜矿砂进口56.2亿元，增长8.3%；消费品进口51.7亿元，增长9.6%；农产品进口29.2亿元，下降11.2%；铁矿砂进口28.8亿元，增长11.5%；原油进口16.2亿元，增长58.6%。

Of Henan’s import and export volume, in the first five months, 8 prefecture-level cities in Henan have achieved positive growth in foreign trade. Zhengzhou reaching 128.58 billion yuan, together with Sanmenxia, Luoyang, Nanyang, Jiyuan and Jiaozuo separately between 6.39 to 5.46 billion yuan became top 6 in import-export value, contributing to 84.8 percent of Henan’s total volume, of which 69.1 percent was made by Zhengzhou. Furthermore, the growth rates of Hebi, Shangqiu, Puyang, Xinxiang, Zhengzhou and Sanmenxia have exceeded 10 percent, with each up by 31.9 percent, 30.8 percent, 25 percent, 23.9 percent, 11.5 percent and 11.4 percent.

全省8个地市外贸进出口实现正增长。今年前5个月，郑州进出口1285.8亿元，三门峡、洛阳、南阳、济源、焦作进出口值在63.9亿元至54.6亿元之间，分别位居河南省前6位，6地市进出口合计占全省进出口总值的84.8%，其中郑州进出口占全省的69.1%。从进出口增速来看，鹤壁增长31.9%、商丘增长30.8%、濮阳增长25%、新乡增长23.9%、郑州增长11.5%、三门峡增长11.4%，5个地市增速超10%。（记者/贺志泉 翻译/赵汉青 实习生/朱清远 审校/丁岚）
