A New High-speed Railway from Central China to Yangtze River Delta Region Starts Operation

中原至长三角方向再添新通道

At 8:56, June 28, loaded with passengers, a Fuxing bullet train (G9394) left Hefei South Railway Station and made its debut on the Hefei-Huzhou line, marking the successful launch of the Hefei-Huzhou section of the Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou high-speed railway route. It also means that Henan, Anhui and Zhejiang have been connected with each other by high-speed railway.

6月28日8时56分，随着商合杭高铁合湖段首列高铁动车组G9394次复兴号列车满载乘客从合肥南站缓缓驶出，备受关注的商合杭高铁合湖段正式开通运营。这也意味着商合杭高铁的全线通车，河南、安徽、浙江三省实现高铁“无缝对接”。

News from China Railway Zhengzhou Group recently showed that 2 pairs of high-speed trains, Zhengzhou East Railway Station to Hangzhou East Railway Station (G3116/3~G3114/5) and Zhengzhou East Railway Station to Hangzhou Railway Station (G3117/8), have been newly operated, and the routes of 3 pairs of high-speed trains, Zhengzhou East Railway Station to Ningbo Railway Station (G1961/2 and G1963/4) and Zhengzhou East Railway Station to Wenzhou South Railway Station (G1965/6), have been adjusted, to give full play to the advantages of the high-speed rail network and optimize the transport capacity.

为充分发挥高铁路网优势、优化运力布局，记者从中国铁路郑州局集团有限公司（以下简称郑州局集团公司）获悉，在商合杭高铁新线加开郑州东至杭州东、杭州高铁2对，变更郑州东至宁波、至温州南线路经由3对。

On hearing that June 28 was the first day for Wuhu-Xuancheng line, Xiang Shijuan, whose hometown is Langxi, specially asked for 3 days’ leave to experience the first high-speed train to her hometown with her 4-year-old son. Xiang said excitedly, “I’ve been looking forward to its launch for years.” To experience the speed of the high-speed train, she bought tickets and took the first train with her son. “In the past, it usually took more than 4 hours to go back home by taking a regular passenger train or a bus and my son was also reluctant to do so. Now, it only takes 1 hour and 13 minutes, which is more convenient. In the future, I can visit my parents more often!”

提前了解到28日是首发日，老家郎溪的向仕娟特意请了3天假，带着4岁的儿子来尝鲜首发车。“盼了好多年终于开通了！”向仕娟激动地说，为第一时间感受下回家乡的高铁到底有多快，她特意买了首趟车票，带着孩子一起回娘家。“以前回家经常是绿皮车或者坐大巴车，要花4个多小时，孩子也不愿意；现在方便多了，1小时13分钟就到了。以后可以经常回家看望父母了！”

According to Song Xiangqing, deputy director of the Commerce Economy Association of China, the Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou high-speed railway has connected Henan, Anhui and Zhejiang, and become a “fast channel” linking Jianghuai area and Yangtze River Delta region, which is of great significance to promote the coordinated development of regional economy in Central China and enhance people’s travel experience. Henan’s “star-shaped” railway network and “friend circle” have continued to expand.

中国商业经济学会副会长宋向清表示，商合杭高铁全线贯通后，河南、安徽、浙江三省实现高铁“无缝对接”，成为连接江淮和长三角地区的快速客运通道，对推进中原区域经济协调发展、提升人民群众美好出行体验等具有重要意义，河南“米”字形铁路网、朋友圈越来越大。（中文来源/大河报 新安晚报 编译/赵汉青 审校/白玉杰）
