Tourism Increases at Silk Road Sites

Dunhuang, a Silk Road international cultural tourism city in Gansu province, features spectacular desert scenery against the fish-scale clouds and yellow sand in midsummer, attracting many tourists.

Crescent Lake received 6,395 tourists on July 14, showing the momentum of increasing visitation since the beginning of summer. So far, the six scenic spots in Dunhuang have received more than 540,000 tourists this year.
