Henan’s Export Sector Opens Wider to Outside World via “Online Silk Road”

“网上丝绸之路”在创新上求突破 “卖全球”大门越开越大

With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging across the world, cross-border e-commerce plays a significant role in promoting economic stability and international cooperation against the pandemic. Henan, a leader in China’s cross-border e-commerce, has seized the opportunity and realized innovation-driven development. By launching the “Online Silk Road”, it is moving forward with its goal of “Selling Globally” and accelerating the establishment of a “dual circulation” development pattern in which domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement.

On September 7, news from Henan Bonded Logistics Center showed that 43.8757 million orders (a year-on-year increase of 19.66 percent) worth 7.4 billion yuan (a year-on-year increase of 34.89 percent) were completed from January to August, of which 36.5832 million orders (a year-on-year increase of 226.03 percent) worth 6.25 billion yuan (389.98 percent) were contributed by exports. Henan’s “Online Silk Road” has realized a striding development, efficiently driving the coordinated development of the “Silk Road in the Air”, the “Silk Road by Land” and the “Maritime Silk Road”.

9月7日，记者从河南保税物流中心获悉，1月至8月，该中心进出口单量合计4387.57万单、同比增长19.66%，货值74亿元、同比增长34.89%。其中，出口单量3658.32万单、同比增长226.03%，货值62.5亿元、同比增长389.98%。河南“网上丝绸之路”出口实现跨越式增长，带动空中、陆上、海上“丝绸之路”协同高效发展。

The commodities exported via the “Online Silk Road” were not only made in Henan, but also from major industries across the country.

在“网上丝绸之路”卖全球的货物中，不仅有河南本土货物，还有来自全国主要产业带的大量货物。

“At present, China’s major cross-border e-commerce export service providers, such as AUKEY, OOFAY and ZHENGPAI, have settled here (Henan Bonded Logistics Center). Zhengzhou’s competitive advantages in export service are now attracting more and more traditional foreign trade enterprises across the country.” Han Aijuan, vice-president of Henan Bonded Logistics Center, remarked that by establishing a cross-border supply chain system for export, the problems like customs affairs related to cross-border e-commerce export service, international transport, overseas customs affairs, the last-mile problem for delivery abroad, etc., have been solved.
