On September 8, at the Second Aerial Silk Road International Forum, the Aerial Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg became a hot topic with its good practice in promoting local economy’s opening-up and government’s active participation in the Belt and Road Initiative by civil aviation industry, relying on high-quality development and outstanding performance in anti-pandemic battle.

9月8日，第二届“空中丝绸之路”国际合作峰会上，郑州—卢森堡“空中丝绸之路”以高质量发展和抗疫中的出色表现，打造了民航助力地方对外开放、积极融入“一带一路”建设的做法，成为专家谈论的热门话题。

Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel remarked in the video that with our joint efforts, a world-class air logistics ecosystem is emerging. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the Aerial Silk Road becomes the vital lifeline for Luxembourg and other European countries as a bridge in the air. 

卢森堡首相贝泰尔在视频致辞中表示：“我们通力合作、集思广益，一个世界级的空中物流生态正在崛起；在疫情期间‘空中丝绸之路’已成为卢森堡及其他欧洲地区的‘重要生命线’，这是一条雪中送炭的‘空中桥梁’。”

The vital lifeline built by the Aerial Silk Road is more expected and urgent than at any other time.

“空中丝路”架起“生命线”，它被寄予的厚望，比任何一个时期都更加迫切。

 

“The growing data of Cargolux Airlines and Zhongyuan Longhao Airlines showed a strong resilience of the Aerial Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg. This lifeline in COVID-19 epidemic has been developed into the bloodline in dual circulation pattern and will have a great bright future.” Cao Yunchun, a professor at Civil Aviation University of China, told the reporter.

“卢森堡货航和中原龙浩上半年逆势上扬的运行数据，充分彰显了郑卢‘空中丝绸之路’的巨大韧性。抓住机遇，把疫情期间的‘生命线’打造成为‘双循环’发展格局的‘流通血脉’，未来大有可为。”中国民航大学教授曹允春说。

 

Typical project brings a fresh look

Henan’s typical project has started a fresh chapter. Several years ago, this “experiment field” was cultivating into a “high-yield plot” covering civil aviation transport, aircraft leasing, general aviation, flight training, etc.

历史机遇风云起，“河南样板”开新局。几年间，这一块“试验田”沃土厚基，正在被深耕成为涵盖民航运输、飞机租赁、通用航空、飞行培训等产业的“高产田”。

Zhao Lei, a professor at the Institute of International Strategy, Party School of the Central Committee, remarked that the Aerial Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg opened up an “experiment field” for inland provinces to expand opening-up. Zhai Dongsheng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission’s Belt and Road Construction Promotion Center, also thought highly of the Aerial Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg, adding that “it can be regarded as one of the high-quality model projects that the inland provinces participate in the Belt and Road Initiative”.

中央党校教授赵磊认为，郑州—卢森堡“空中丝绸之路”开辟了内陆省份依靠蓝天扩大对外开放的“试验田”。国家发展改革委“一带一路”建设促进中心主任翟东升同样对郑卢“空中丝绸之路”高度认同：“可谓内陆地区参与‘一带一路’建设的高质量样板工程之一。”

 

At the forum, Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Co., Ltd signed cooperation agreements respectively with China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co., Ltd, Simaero Holding Co., Ltd, China Certification & Inspection Group and JD Group for bilateral exchanges and cooperation in different types of services such as general aviation training, simulator technical service, animal inspection and quarantine, e-commerce supply chain, etc.

在峰会成果发布环节，河南民航发展投资有限公司一举签下四个重要合作协议，包括法国Simaero控股公司、中航通飞、中检集团和京东集团，涵盖了通航培训、模拟机技术服务、进出口动物检疫通关、电商供应链配套合作等领域。

 

The COVID-19 epidemic cannot block the confidence and action of working together for win-win cooperation. Vin-centHieff, consulate general of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Shanghai, remarked that the wider Aerial Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg will push Henan closer to the world and the idea of a community with a shared future for mankind to gain greater popularity.
