中国太极拳申遗成功！太极功夫从陈家沟走向世界
Taijiquan, also known as Tai Chi, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and officially included on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, according to the online meeting held by UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee in Kingston, Jamaica, on the evening of December 17, 2020 (UTC/GMT + 8:00).
北京时间2020年12月17日晚，从牙买加首都金斯敦举行的联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产委员会在线会议上传来振奋人心的消息：太极拳成功申遗！被正式收列入《人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录》。

According to the report, approved by the Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage, Taijiquan was added to the list at 20:35 that day while the Wangchuan ceremony (jointly put forward for UNESCO intangible cultural heritage status by China and Malaysia) at 20:40. So far, China has seen 42 items of its intangible cultural heritages included on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List, ranking first in the world.
据了解，北京时间2020年12月17日20:35 ，联合国教科文组织保护非物质文化遗产政府间委员会通过决议，将我国申报的“太极拳”列入联合国教科文组织人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录；20:40 ，将我国与马来西亚联合申报的“送王船——有关人与海洋可持续联系的仪式及相关实践”列入联合国教科文组织人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。至此，我国共有42个非物质文化遗产项目列入联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产名录（册），居世界第一。
This is not only a new breakthrough of the intangible cultural heritage in Henan, but also a new world record for Chinese culture and a new symbol of Taijiquan becoming world-renowned.

On the evening of December 17, a celebration was held at Chenjiagou village of Jiaozuo city (birthplace of Tai Chi) to share this exciting moment with the public.
17日晚，太极圣地陈家沟隆重举行了“全球太极人聚焦陈家沟”欢乐行庆祝活动，来自焦作内外的千余名干部群众、重要嘉宾、太极拳爱好者一同分享这一激动人心的时刻。
Put forward by Henan, with the joint efforts of Henan, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin, Taijiquan has not only become the only Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in the category of traditional Wushu (martial arts) in China, but also the country's 41st item on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
据悉，太极拳是由我省牵头申报，河南、河北、北京、天津四省市共同推动，成为我国传统武术类非遗项目中唯一的人类非物质文化遗产，也是我国第41个列入联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产名录的项目。
The successful application of Taijiquan for world heritage status is bound to further integrate cultural resources behind Taijiquan to boost its inheritance and promotion. At the same time, it will also create precious opportunities for the development of Taijiquan-related industry and local social economy in Jiaozuo to achieve a win-win situation.
