Five More National Wetland Parks in Henan Pass Official Appraisal
河南再添五个国家级湿地公园
Another 5 national wetland parks in Central China's Henan Province have passed official appraisal, bringing the total number to 26, according to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration on December 28. The new national wetland parks are as follows: Shuangji River National Wetland Park in Xuchang's Changge city, Ronghu Lake National Wetland Park in Shangqiu's Zhecheng county, Zhoukou-Shangqiu-Yongcheng Canal National Wetland Park in Shangqiu's Yucheng county, Longshan Lake National Wetland Park in Xinyang's Guangshan county, Yihe River National Wetland Park in Luoyang's Yichuan county.
12月28日，国家林草局公布2020年国家湿地公园试点验收结果，我省长葛双洎河、柘城容湖、虞城周商永运河、光山龙山湖、伊川伊河等5处国家湿地公园试点通过验收，正式成为国家湿地公园。截至目前，我省已有26处国家湿地公园。
"National wetland park, an important part of wetland protection, is a combination of wetland protection, ecological restoration and sustainable utilization of wetland resources. The CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Henan Provincial People's Government have attached great importance to wetland protection and restoration for a long time. During the 13th Five-Year Plan Period, owing to a series of policies and regulations issued, and great efforts made to strengthen the construction and management of wetland nature reserves and parks, the wetland protection area and rate across the province were greatly increased. By the end of 2019, Henan's protected wetland area totaled 4.76 million mu (1 mu is equal to 0.067 hectares), and its total area of wetland parks reached 1.57 million mu." Qi Jiannong, head of the Protection Division of Henan Forestry Administration, told the reporter.
“湿地公园是湿地保护工作中重要的组成部分，是湿地保护、生态恢复与湿地资源可持续利用的有机结合体。长期以来，省委、省政府高度重视湿地保护修复工作，‘十三五’期间，我省出台了一系列政策法规，全省各地着力加强湿地自然保护区、湿地公园建设管理，湿地保护面积和湿地保护率大幅提升。到2019年年底，全省受保护湿地面积为476万亩，已建立湿地公园总面积157万亩。”省林业局保护处处长亓建农介绍。（中文来源/河南日报 翻译/赵汉青 审校/张玉红）
