Big Data Reveals 2021 Spring Festival Travel Rush in Henan

Henan's expressway sector registered orderly and stable operation during the weeklong Spring Festival holiday, according to Henan Provincial Expressway Traffic Police Corps on February 18. Since residents were encouraged to stay put to celebrate the Chinese New Year, short-distance travel became hot, such as travelling or visiting relatives within the province. It is learned that the local urban public transportation system has served more than 30 million passengers during the 7 days.

2月18日，大河网记者从河南省高速交警总队获悉，春节7天假期，全省高速公路总体平稳有序。群众积极响应就地过年号召，以短途出行为主，省内旅游、探亲居多，城市公共交通累计发送旅客超3000万人次。

According to statistics, during the Spring Festival, 2.852 million trips were made by roads, 19.9 thousand by waterways, 16.2428 million by city buses, 2.855 million by urban rail transit and 11.8654 million by taxis, with the total traffic volume of the expressway network reaching 12.1607 million. In general, traffic on most of the provincial expressways was orderly and stable without a grinding halt or any severe accidents except it on a few around Zhengzhou getting worse for a short while due to the large number of cars.

据统计，今年春节长假期间，河南省道路累计发送旅客285.2万人次，水路累计发送旅客1.99万人次，城市公共汽车累计发送旅客1624.28万人次，城市轨道累计发送旅客285.5万人次，出租汽车累计发送旅客1186.54万人次，高速公路出口总流量1216.07万辆，除郑州周边部分高速路段因车流量大出现短时排队缓行外，全省高速路网运行总体平稳有序，未发生严重拥堵和人员车辆长时间滞留现象，未发生重特大道路交通安全事故。（中文来源/大河网 翻译/赵汉青 海报/韩雨松 审校/丁岚）
