Lantern Festival-themed Buses Debut in Zhengzhou, Henan

“元宵节”主题车厢亮相郑州街头

As Chinese Lantern Festival is around the corner, Zhengzhou's buses are specially decorated, fostering a strong festive atmosphere for passengers.

元宵佳节将至，郑州公交将元宵节元素融入公交车厢内，使广大乘客在乘坐公交车时也能欢欢喜喜“闹”元宵。

Bordered a No. 603 bus themed the Lantern Festival, such festival elements as red lanterns, Chinese knots, paper-cuttings for window decorations and strings of hot peppers immediately come into view. Beneath the red lanterns or on the hot peppers, handrails and seats are pasted with different riddles featuring classical Chinese poems or Henan specialties, the answers to which contain local dishes and city names.

在一辆603路“元宵节”主题公交车上，高高挂起的大红灯笼、中国结、一幅幅美丽的窗花、一串串“红红火火”的辣椒映入眼帘……踏入车厢，这些浓浓的节日元素便映入眼帘。在灯笼下方、辣椒串上，以及扶手、栏杆、座椅等处还都设有灯谜卡片。灯谜的谜面中不仅有“柳暗花明又一村”“锄禾日当午”等中国传统诗词，还有像“少林小子武当拳”“闲来出门去嵩山”等河南特色，而谜底中更是蕴藏着胡辣汤、郑州、洛阳等河南特色美食和城市名称。

The lantern riddle-guessing activity helps the passengers better understand Henan culture. And because those who propose right answers can get a reward for the Year of the Ox, the passengers participate in the activity and interact with each other actively and happily.

猜灯谜的同时还能了解河南特色，猜对的乘客更能获得一份牛年精美小礼物，车上的乘客纷纷热情参与，相互讨论着谜面和谜底，车厢内一片欢乐景象。

To vigorously carry forward excellent traditional Chinese culture, the buses decorated with the Lantern Festival elements have been in operation in Zhengzhou since February 23, such as No. 603, 100 and 21 buses as well as a number of BRT lanes, including B17, B2 (West 3rd Ring Road to Zhongzhoudadao BRT Station) and B102. The passengers can feel a strong atmosphere of the festival on the buses.
