Prior to the 2021 Lantern Festival, on February 25, Zhongshi Xinke Culture Industry Co., Ltd affiliated to Henan Culture Industry Investment Co., Ltd partly sponsored by Henan Daily Press Group, released a series of Lantern Festival-themed emojis (nicknamed Tang Dun'er) featuring lovable ladies of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and traditional customs like eating Tangyuan and appreciating lanterns, full of joy and fun.

“吃汤圆喽”“财源滚滚”“上元欢喜”“就这么干”……2月25日，在元宵节来临之际，河南日报报业集团省文投旗下中视新科文化产业公司推出了一组“唐墩儿——上元篇”表情包，以“唐风”味十足的小胖妞造型，融入吃汤圆、赏花灯等习俗，呈现元宵生活的百态，充满喜感和萌趣。

According to Xia Fei, general manager of Zhongshi Xinke Culture Industry Co., Ltd., with the popularity of the dance show "Night Banquet in Tang Dynasty Palace", the funny and lovable ladies of the Tang Dynasty are deeply loved by the audience. Based on their images, the company created these Lantern Festival-themed emojis to let more people feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture. These emojis are lovely and lively, vividly showing the interesting aesthetics of the Tang Dynasty.

On the same day, the Tang Dun'er emojis immediately got lots of fans after their debut on the app and Weibo of Henan Daily. Some even commented: "These lovable Tang Dun'er emojis convey my best holiday wishes" "The 'leave me alone' emoji featured with two lovable ladies is funny and vivid" ...

当天，“唐墩儿——上元篇”表情包在河南日报客户端、河南日报官方微博等平台推出后，立即圈粉无数。网友纷纷留言说“可爱的唐墩儿，元宵祝福就靠她啦”“两个小胖妞相撞‘起开’的这个表情包，简直好玩到深入灵魂”……

Such characteristics of the heroines as funny and lovable are highlighted in the emojis, showing the down-to-earth folk customs. The combination of Henan's profound culture and history and contemporary visual aesthetics has pushed the "Night Banquet in Tang Dynasty Palace" to a new upsurge. At the same time, it has narrowed the distance between modern life and history, and conveyed the greetings and wishes to the public in a way of cultural recreation.
