Lunar Samples Unveiled at National Museum of China

The opening ceremony of theLunar Sample 001, Witnessing China's Flying Dreamexhibition and a donation ceremony was held at the National Museum of China in Beijing, unveiling lunar samples brought back from the moon by Chang'e 5 on Saturday morning.

The exhibition displays more than 40 scientific and technological objects, including Lunar Sample 001. With a large number of picture files, dynamic photos and videos, the exhibition systematically reviews the brilliant achievements of China's lunar exploration program and comprehensively demonstrates thegreat struggle of the Chinese people to realize the dream of "clasping the moon in the Ninth Heaven", to quote Chairman Mao Zedong.

The Chang'e-5 return capsule landed safely and brought back lunar samples on Dec 17, marking China's first return of samples from an extraterrestrial body.

The exhibition will be open to the public and will go on tour in the future.
