39th China Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival Kicks off in Henan

“牡丹花城”迎文化视听盛宴 第39届中国洛阳牡丹文化节开幕

　　

Hosted by the People's Government of Henan Province and jointly undertaken by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Henan Province and Luoyang Municipal People's Government, the 39th China Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival was launched at Yingtianmen Square of the National Archaeological Site Park of Sui-Tang Luoyang City on the evening of April 10.

4月10日晚，一场璀璨的文化视听盛宴重磅来袭，由河南省政府主办，河南省文化和旅游厅、洛阳市政府共同承办的第39届中国洛阳牡丹文化节在隋唐洛阳城历史文化公园应天门遗址广场开幕。

As an imperial capital during 13 dynasties, Luoyang claims to have the country's best peonies which symbolize prosperity and wealth with their luxuriant blossom. The profound historical and cultural deposits have become a calling card for Luoyang.

洛阳是享誉海内外的“千年古都、牡丹花城”，深厚灿烂的历史文化底蕴与牡丹花开富贵、国色天香的秀美画卷交相辉映，绘就出“古今辉映、诗和远方”的城市名片。

China Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival has been held for 38 sessions since 1983. According to the organizing committee, the Festival of this year with the theme of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC will hold 20 events in four categories and launch a series of favorable measures to welcome friends at home and abroad.

洛阳牡丹文化节已连续成功举办38届，大河网记者获悉，本届牡丹文化节以“辉煌百年路 花开新征程”为主题，精心策划了四大板块20项主要活动，推出一系列惠民政策。

　　

The Festival will run through May 10.
