Production, Investment and Consumption Bolster Henan's January-April Economy

前4个月河南省经济“账单”显示 三大要素支撑稳定恢复态势

 

The average growth rate of the main economic indicators in Central China's Henan province in the first 4 months of 2020 and 2021 accelerated to varying degrees compared with that of the first quarter and the first 2 months, indicating a steady trend of recovery, showed the data released by Henan Statistics Bureau on May 20.

5月20日，省统计局发布的全省经济运行数据显示，前4个月我省主要经济指标两年平均增速均比一季度和前两个月出现不同程度加快，显示全省经济运行延续了稳定恢复态势。

Over the past 4 months, production, investment and consumption were not only three pillars in Henan's economy, but also three forces driving economic growth in the dual-circulation development pattern.

生产、投资和消费是支撑前4个月全省经济“账单”的三大要素，也是新发展格局中驱动经济增长的“三驾马车”。

 

Industrial production maintained sustained recovery. In April, the added value of the industrial enterprises above designated size across the province increased by 6.5 percent year-on-year with a 6.5-percent two-year average growth rate. It is worth noting that the output of new products with high technical content and added value increased rapidly with that of lithium-ion batteries, new-energy vehicles and smart phones increasing by 116.3 percent, 60.9 percent and 15.8 percent respectively.

从生产看，工业生产持续稳定恢复。4月份，全省规模以上工业增加值同比增长6.5%，两年平均增长6.5%。值得注意的是，技术含量、附加值较高的新产品产量高速增长，锂离子电池、新能源汽车、智能手机产量同比分别增长116.3%、60.9%、15.8%。

 

Henan's January-April fixed-asset investment increased by 10.1 percent year-on-year. The completed investment in newly-commenced projects saw an increase of 14 percent year-on-year, of which 100-million-yuan projects went up 18.9 percent. Besides, the tertiary industry saw its investment up by 13.3 percent year-on-year, topping the first and second industries, while the infrastructure by 17.2 percent, leading other fields. 

从投资看，前4个月全省固定资产投资同比增长10.1%。新开工项目完成投资同比增长14%，其中亿元以上新开工项目完成投资增长18.9%，第三产业投资同比增长13.3%，领跑三大产业投资；基础设施投资同比增长17.2%，领跑各领域投资。

 

From January to April, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Henan reported a year-on-year increase of 23.3 percent with a growth rate decreasing by 4.8 percentage points compared with that of the first quarter. But excluding factors such as the Spring Festival holiday, the growth rate was still within a reasonable range.

从消费看，前4个月全省社会消费品零售总额同比增长23.3%，虽然增速较一季度回落4.8个百分点，但扣除春节假期等因素，增速在合理区间。（中文来源/河南日报 翻译/赵汉青 审校/陈行洁）
