On the morning of May 28, themed "To Promote High-quality Development of Culture and Tourism with Protection, Inheritance and Promotion of the Yellow River Culture", the seventh session of the "Embarking on a New Journey with the 14th Five-Year Plan" news briefing series was held by the Information Office of the People's Government of Henan Province. Jiang Jiding, deputy secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Henan Province and the Department's director-general, briefly introduced Henan's significant achievements in culture and tourism during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) as well as the key tasks to promote the high-quality development of such fields during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), and answered questions from journalists.

5月28日上午，河南省人民政府新闻办公室举行“开局十四五 奋进新征程”系列第七场新闻发布会，发布主题为：保护传承弘扬黄河文化 推进文化和旅游高质量发展。重点介绍“十三五”时期河南文化和旅游事业取得的成就，和“十四五”时期河南文化和旅游事业高质量发展的总体部署和重点任务，并回答记者提问。

According to Jiang, during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, a large number of projects started construction in Henan, such as the Yellow River National Museum and the Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Exhibition in the Yellow River Basin. The International Mayor's Forum on Tourism and other events settled in Henan with the popularity of the dance show "Night Banquet in Tang Dynasty Palace" and Henan Museum's archaeological blind boxes. Taijiquan, also known as Tai Chi, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and officially included on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The construction of Heluo Cultural Ecology Protection Experimental Zone in Luoyang was approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The number of national-level sites and ten new archaeological discoveries maintained the first place in China. Two Henan Operas, namely "Jiao Yulu" and "Chongdu Ferry", won the prestigious Wenhua Award. Many new achievements were also made in the Yellow River culture, cultural and tourism integration, cultural and tourism branding, cultural relics protection, stage art, etc.

省文化和旅游厅党组副书记、厅长姜继鼎介绍，“十三五”时期，黄河国家博物馆、黄河流域非物质文化遗产保护展示中心等一大批项目在河南相继开建。世界旅游城市市长论坛等活动落户河南；唐宫夜宴“出圈”，考古盲盒“爆款”；太极拳申遗成功。河洛文化生态保护实验区获国家批复；国家级大遗址、十大考古新发现等数量保持全国第一；豫剧《焦裕禄》《重渡沟》获国家文华大奖，实现中国艺术节大奖七连冠、文华大奖六连冠、中宣部“五个一工程奖”八连冠。河南省文化和旅游工作在黄河文化、文旅融合、文旅品牌、文物保护、舞台艺术等多领域取得了新的成就。

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, taking the protection, inheritance and promotion of the Yellow River culture as the main line, Henan will strive to build a strong province of culture and tourism by accelerating the building of "one project" and "seven systems". At present, Henan's development plan for culture and tourism during the 14th Five-Year Plan period has passed the evaluation.
