News from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province on May 27 -- At present, the wheat in Henan is still being harvested sporadically. More than 85 million mu (1 mu equals to 0.067 hectares) of wheat are growing in Henan. As of May 26, 673 thousand mu, mainly in Xinyang, Nanyang and Luoyang, have been harvested, including 659 thousand mu harvested by machines, accounting for nearly 98 percent of the total.

5月27日，记者从省农业农村厅获悉，目前我省小麦还处于零星收获阶段。全省共种植8500多万亩小麦，截至26日，已收获67.3万亩，主要分布在信阳市、南阳市和洛阳市，机收小麦面积达65.9万亩，占比近98%。

Affected by climate and soil moisture, this year's wheat harvest in Henan is about a week later than the previous years. According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province, only when the area of wheat harvest exceeds 5 million mu, the large-scale mechanized harvest starts. According to the current progress, this year's large-scale collection is not expected until after May 30.

受气候、墒情等条件影响，今年小麦收获时间比往年晚一周左右，省农业农村厅农机处有关负责人表示，小麦收割面积达500万亩以上，大规模机收才真正开始，按照目前进度，今年大规模机收预计在5月30日以后。

To ensure a smooth mechanized harvest, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province has released 60 thousand cross-regional operation certificates for combine harvesters and transplanters to facilitate cross-regional harvest with lower cost. Besides, together with Henan Meteorological Bureau, free SMS service will also be provided to those engaged in cross-regional harvest.
