28 Thousand Boxes of Henan-made Zongzi Exported to Other Countries Prior to Dragon Boat Festival

端午节前2.8万箱河南产粽子出口国外

As a main grain producer in China, Henan has seen a surge in exports of zongzi (stuffed glutinous rice balls wrapped with reeds or bamboo leaves) in recent years.

作为粮食主产区的河南，近年来，粽子的出口需求也是一路高涨。

Prior to the Dragon Boat Festival which falls on June 14 this year, Zhengzhou Customs totally supervised 28 thousand boxes of Henan-made zongzi with a weight of 252.9 tons and a value of 5.42 million yuan, which were exported to more than 10 countries (regions) around the world, such as America, Japan and Australia, according to Zhengzhou Customs on June 13.
