What Will Happen When International Students Have a Trip to Henan?

当在华留学生与河南“亲密接触” 碰撞出了怎样的“火花”？

 

Over the past few days, a total of 22 international students from 16 countries in China participated in the 2021 "Experience China" activity co-hosted by Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province, Department of Education of Henan Province and North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power. Traveling from Zhengzhou to Ruzhou, Xinxiang, etc., they have got a new understanding of Henan province.

近日，来自16个国家的22名在华留学生参加了由省政府外办、省教育厅、华北水利水电大学联合主办的“走进中原·感知中国”2021国际留学生河南行活动，郑州、汝州、新乡……留学生们一路走一路看一路体悟，收获了满满对河南的新认知。

Experiencing the culture of China's Central Plains

感悟中原文化的魅力

 

During the activity, the 22 international students experienced a different Henan by perceiving Central Plains culture at Henan Museum, practicing Shaolin Kungfu at Shaolin Temple, learning Baduanjin (a fitness practice with a history of 800 years) at Henan University of Chinese Medicine, etc.

走进河南博物院了解中原文化发展史、来到少林寺体验少林功夫、在河南中医药大学学习健身功法八段锦......这几天，留学生们从不同角度看到了不一样的厚重河南。

"I watched many martial arts movies in my childhood and dreamed that I could visit Shaolin Temple some day. This activity helped me realize my childhood dream!" An international student from Uzbekistan told dahe.cn that they had not only watched the show of 13 Kungfu Monks Protecting Li Shimin and learned about the history behind it, but also watched a Kungfu performance and mastered some Kungfu techniques under the guidance of Kungfu masters.

“在小的时候，我就看过许多功夫电影，心想有朝一日能够参观少林寺，这次活动我就来到了少林寺，实现了小时候的梦想！”纳祖拉耶夫·沙佐告诉记者，他们这次不仅观看了十三棍僧的演出，了解了背后的历史故事，还观看了少林寺功夫表演，并且在师父的指导下亲自体验了一把少林功夫，学到了很多招式。

 

"During the activity, we also visited Henan University of Chinese Medicine, Henan Museum, Ru Porcelain Culture Park, etc., which helped us deeply feel the charm of Central Plains culture."

“我们在活动期间还参观了河南中医药大学、河南博物院、汝瓷文化园等等，深刻感受到了中原文化的魅力。”纳祖拉耶夫·沙佐说。

 

Experiencing the charm of a modern Henan

During the activity, the 22 international students also visited China Railway Engineering Equipment Group, Yutong Group, Intelligent Terminal Industrial Park of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, etc.

活动期间，留学生们还参观了中铁装备、宇通集团、航空港实验区智能终端产业园等河南企业。

An international student from Tanzania said that he was deeply shocked by the TBMs of China Railway Engineering Equipment Group. At the factory, he experienced the advanced technology and manufacturing capabilities of the Group. Besides, he was very excited to visit Yutong Group, because Africa has formed very close ties with Yutong. Now, there are more than 1,000 Yutong buses in his home country of Tanzania, which has greatly improved the way they travel. At the Intelligent Terminal Industrial Park of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, he not only learned about the development of mobile terminal devices, but also experienced the real situation of smart homes.

来自坦桑尼亚的黑克马介绍说，他一进入中铁装备的工厂，就立刻被深深地震撼了，盾构机非常的壮观。在工厂里，他亲身感受到了企业的先进技术和制造能力；当知道要去宇通集团时，他非常兴奋，因为非洲和宇通有非常紧密的联系，在他的家乡坦桑尼亚运行着1000多辆宇通客车，深刻改善了他们的出行方式；在港区智能终端产业园，他不仅了解了移动终端设备的发展史，同时也体验了未来智能家庭的真实情境，仿佛置身于未来，令人大开眼界。

 

"Generally speaking, through the activity, I not only realized the power of scientific and technological innovation, but also witnessed the rapid development of Henan and the strong rising momentum of Central Plains."

“总之，通过这次活动，我真正认识到了科技创新的强大力量，亲眼见证了河南的快速发展，中原崛起的势头正劲。”黑克马说。

 

Experiencing the vitality of Henan's rural vitalization

目睹河南乡村振兴的勃勃生机

 

To learn more about Henan's rural vitalization, the 22 international students also visited the rural areas across the province.

活动期间，留学生们还走进了河南的乡村，了解乡村发展的故事，感受乡村振兴的勃勃生机。

At Tangzhuang town of the county-level Weihui city, they heard the story of Wu Jinyin, who dug more than 6 million fish-scale pits on the Tanggong Mountain with the local villagers within 13 years, which deeply "shocked" them. Besides, putting on straw hats, they also planted a "friendship forest" with spades. In Baoquan Tourist Resort Area, the students learned about how the villagers got rich by the industrial transformation.

在卫辉市唐庄镇，留学生们聆听了唐公山上吴金印带领村民苦干13年，人工开凿出了600多万个鱼鳞坑的故事，他们纷纷用“震撼”来形容自己的感受。留学生们还戴上草帽、拿起铁锹，亲手种下一片“友谊林”；在宝泉景区，留学生们了解了其产业转型，致富村民的发展之路。

"The industrial transformation of Baoquan not only reflects the harmony between man and nature, but also enriches the local people and provides tourists with the opportunity to enjoy the peaceful countryside and nature. Through this activity, I understood the meaning of rural vitalization and the idea of 'lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets'. The people here are great." An international student from Russia expressed her affection for the Chinese countryside and thought the trip to Baoquan was also meaningful.

“宝泉产业转型，不仅体现了人与自然和谐相处，还使当地人民致富，更给游客们提供了享受平静乡村和大自然的机会。通过这次活动，我明白了什么叫做乡村振兴，什么叫做绿水青山就是金山银山，这里的人民很伟大。”来自俄罗斯的安娜说，她非常喜欢中国的农村，这一站也很有意义。

 

After traveling, the international students fell in love with Henan and expressed their wishes of being the ambassadors of friendship, builders of friendly relations and promoters of further cooperation, sharing the stories of Henan and their experiences in Henan with the world.
