Finishing in 31.895 seconds in final, Bao Shanju from Central China's Henan province won gold in women's track cycling team sprint at the Tokyo Olympics on August 2 with her partner Zhong Tianshi from Shanghai. Besides, finishing in 31.804 seconds in qualification, they also set a new world and Olympic record. The 24-year-old Bao Shanju not only won China's 28th gold medal, but also Henan's 2nd gold medal (following Lyu Yang who won Henan's 1st gold medal on July 28) and the 1st in this field.
继吕扬为河南摘得首金后，8月2日，在刚刚结束的第三十二届东京奥运会场地自行车女子团体竞速赛中，河南省运动员鲍珊菊携手队友钟天使（上海）以31.895获得金牌，并在小组赛以31.804打破世界纪录和奥运会纪录，为中国代表团争得第28金。这不仅是本届奥运会河南运动员摘得的第二枚金牌，同时也是河南自行车项目的第一枚奥运会金牌！

Selected for Luoyang Cycling Team in 2012, Henan Cycling Team in 2013 and China Cycling Team in 2018, Bao Shanju, a World Cup gold medalist, won 3 gold medals within 2 days -- women's 250m and 500m individual time trials and track cycling team sprint -- and broke 2 national records 4 times at the National Track Cycling World Championships held in September 2020.
