'I Only Had 2 Hours for Preparation'

岐伯山医院重启后，他从接到紧急抽调通知到投入战斗只用了2个多小时！

 

"Informed (by Henan Health Commission) to support the COVID-19 fight at the Qiboshan Hospital, I only had 2 hours for preparation. I started my work immediately after arrival at the hospital." On August 1, 2021, Yu Xueqing, a chief physician for the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine, was dispatched by Henan Health Commission to Qiboshan Hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

“从接到紧急抽调通知到整装出发，只有短短2个小时的准备时间。经过40分钟车程到达岐伯山医院后，未做片刻休息，便第一时间投入了战斗。”2021年8月1日，河南中医药大学一附院余学庆主任被河南省卫健委紧急抽调前往郑州岐伯山医院，开展新冠病例集中收治工作。在临行之际，余学庆随身携带了一面党旗时刻激励自己。

发挥中医药专业优势 ，短短半天时间内完成所有病患一人一方诊疗任务

 

The medical staff usually wore a thick protective suit in isolation wards with a higher risk of virus exposure, so they can not drink, eat or go to the restroom. That poses a great challenge for Yu, who is already in his 50s.

众所周知，进入隔离病区后，处处面临被感染的危险，一旦穿上防护服，便长时间不能吃喝，也不能上厕所，这对已是两鬓斑白、年过半百的余学庆是个巨大的挑战。

Facing such a critical situation, Yu did not make any complaints. Overcoming difficulties and giving full play to his advantages in TCM, he finished the task of providing tailored treatment for each patient in only half a day.

但是面对严峻的工作环境，他毫无怨言。现场克服各种困难，充分发挥自己的中医药专业优势，在短短半天时间内就完成了所有病患一人一方的诊疗任务。

 

Over the past 3 days, Yu was sticking to his post on the frontline. After working, his clothes were often found soaked with sweat after taking off the thick protective suit.

截至目前，连续三天的救治工作，余学庆主任始终坚持战斗在最危险的临床第一线。每到下班时，穿在防护服里的衣服轻轻一拧，就能流出大摊的汗水来。

因时间紧急，没来得及拜别双亲面辞妻儿，感觉亏欠家人

 

"Dad, be careful. Mom and I are waiting for you at home!" On August 2, after working, Yu received a voice message from his child, and felt sorry for his family.

“爸爸，你要注意防护啊，我和妈妈等你回来！”8月2日忙完工作，余学庆主任便接到了孩子发来的微信语音，他愧疚地低下了头。是啊，自己欠家人的太多了！

 

He recalled that once getting notice to go to Qiboshan Hospital, he only had 2 hours for preparation and work handover, so he did not have time to say goodbye to his parents, nor his wife and child.

回想从接到抽调通知到整装出发，只有短短2个小时的准备时间，根本来不及拜别双亲，更顾不得面见妻儿，只匆匆与科室同志们交接了工作，整理了办公室衣柜里几件简单的衣物，便从工作岗位上直接奔赴岐伯山医院了。

As an expert who has been engaged in clinical and basic research of TCM prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases for a long time and formulated 8 standards in such fields, Yu has rich experience in clinical diagnosis and treatment. So he knows the risk of the current COVID-19 and its Delta variant well.

作为长期从事中医药防治呼吸疾病临床与基础研究并制定行业标准8项的专家，余学庆具有丰富的临床诊疗经验。没有人比他更清楚新冠肺炎的危害和德尔塔病毒的凶险。

 

As a doctor, Yu has been ready to solve problems for the patients at any time. So after receiving the order, Yu rushed to the frontline without hesitation.

但作为一名医务工作者，余学庆深知只要人民需要就要义无反顾。所以在接到命令后，没有丝毫犹豫便赶赴疫情救治最前线！

"Even in the face of complex public health emergencies, we as medical workers must take on our responsibilities with a belief in victory, never discouraged! No matter how dangerous it is, we will never retreat!" Yu told his colleagues.

“即使是艰难地面对突发公共卫生事件，我们作为一名医务工作者也要怀着必胜的信念一次再一次地踏上征程，绝不气馁！即便是再凶险，一步也不能后退！”当一附院的同事们打电话对他表示关心时，余学庆坚决地回答道。

 

Faced with dangers, Yu, a CPC member, is a "warrior" standing fast and remaining at his post.
